If the resort sounds really nice to you - based on the great reviews - what are you thinking that might not be worth it? Price? Distance from Disney Parks? Transportation costs? Not being on site? Something else?
Orange Lake is a very nice timeshare resort with a lot of onsite amenities. The resort has been built in sections over many years so there's a bit of variety in style and type of lodging and how that lodging is clustered. There are several activity/pool areas and a relatively new water park feature. There are two or three golf courses on the property and some restaurants. And all of this is spread over a very large piece land that abuts Disney property (land that's associated with the Animal Kingdon Lodge).
We've stayed there three times and enjoyed our stays.
I don't know if your concern is a cost issue, but we've had great success in renting weeks from owners at the Orange Lake timeshare resort. That's kept the lodging cost at what we've thought to be fairly reasonable rates.
