Holiday Inn close to DTD

Hi all, we want to get away to WDW for a weekend next month and the prices on site are crazy high...I know I said I would never stay offsite but we have enough points at the Holiday Inn (DH travels alot for work) that I can get a 2 night stay for free.

Any good or bad feedback on this resort? I guess it is close to DTD and 2 miles from Epcot but for the life of me I cannot place this hotel

Is this the Holiday Inn SunSpree located right outside DD? If it is, it's located near Crossroads almost across from the Sheraton Vistana.

That HI has been closed for 3 years. And, I am not sure when it will open again. It is more points, but, try the Nick Suites by Holiday Inn. Or they have a Suite property very close to WDW proper.

The holidays inns are 25000 points per night, so are the crown plazas in that area.

We go for NJ week every other year. I booked 3 rooms for 2 nights for our gang so we could be there for Halloween, all with points.

There is no comparison (IMO) between the 2, crown plazas are much nicer than holiday inns in general. I've stayed at the holiday inn on international drive a few times, it didn't suck, but was not at the crown plaza level. I'd look into it, there are 3 crown plazas in the orlando area, we picked the one near universal.

I knew the one in DTD is not slated to open until 09 but there is another one right down the street and there is a Staybridge Suites, any info on them?
