My family will be at Disney November 26-Dec 4th this year to get an early start on Christmas, and I have three questions:

1. We are planning on attending the Princess Storybook Breakfast on the first morning of our trip, and I was thinking about booking the LAST proirity seating of the morning so that we could enjoy attractions the first hour in the park and then make this meal brunch. Would going late like this affect our experience with the characters? Are the princesses off duty at 10:30, or do they stay till the last diners leave? What's the latest PS time we can get?

2. We are also planning on going to Mickeys Very Merry Christmas Party on a Tuesday that week. I have heard that disney sometimes allows guests into the parks early for this event, before the official start time. How early should we arrive, and what will be open?

3. I've heard that the osborne Family spectacle of lights is pretty cool. Where is this located, and what time do the lights go on at night? What about the candlelight processional- when is this held, and how early should we get there?

And one more question- I guess this is a PS- Are there any other disney holiday activities that are "don't misses" in your book?

Thanks!
Cathy

Hi Cathy! Welcome to the DIS! :)

I believe the latest PS at the Princess Storybook Breakfast is 10AM, but I'm not 100% positive - can anyone confirm? The characters will be there until the breakfast ends (again, not completely positive, but I belive the breakfast ends at 11:00). So, if you get a late PS, you definately won't miss the princesses - not to worry!

Plan on getting to MVMCP 30-45 minutes before the official starting time of the event. That way, when the park re-opens for the party, you won't miss anything.

The Osborne Family Lights is located at the MGM Studios. The Candelight Processional is located at Epcot; unlike the Osborne Family Lights, priority seatings are strongly reccomended for the Candelight Processional. Disney offers the Candelight Dinner Package (CDP); with the CDP, you can dine in almost any World Showcae restaurant. Then, you'll receive a pass that will guarentee you seating in to the show. Without this pass, you're not guarenteed seating. Reservations for the CDP must be made in advance.

Have a great time! :)

Can't answer the Princess Breakfast questions, but I can help with some of your other ?s

Entry to MK on MVMCP nights for tix holders usually starts around 4PM. You will be given a wristband that shows you are a party guest. Most of the major attractions are open and there are many special shows those nights.

Osbourne lights are on NY Street at MGM, CP is at the American pavillion at EP, 3 seatings starting around 6:30PM and lasts about 40 minutes, If not on a dinner package, I would get there 45 minutes before.

Checkout the sleigh ride at WL, the decorations at all of the resorts, the tree lighting ceremony and look for xmas costumed charactors in out of the way parts of MK for private pics.

For the last 3 years at least they have let party goers in AFTER 4:00p with just their party ticket. They will give you a wristband. If you are already in the park before 4:00p, there will be CMs around giving out the wristbands in exchange for your tickets.

Everything will be open until 6:00p but between 6:00p and 7:00p if you are not eating in a restaurant, you will told to wait in Tomorrowland for that hour while they clear out the park and you will only be able to do those rides. Cosmic Rays will be one of the only counter services open for that hour.

Thanks for the christmas party info! We will be there at 4- if poilicies change and they don't let us in we can ride the monorail or something!

RE the candelight processional- we will be there the saturday after thanksgiving. How essential is the dinner package? With 5 kids under 8, we are somewhat avoiding sit down meals (except for character meals). Do you reccomend one show over another, crowdwise?

I just booked a breakfast at 10:20--and I had asked for the last available. I don't know if that was the last they had that day, or if it was actually the latest they seat.

I wanted to add that my children will be 1 (dd), 8 (ds), and 12 (dd), on our trip, so I was thinking that the characters weren't really necessary anymore. However, I started thinking that that's such an important part of Disney--no matter HOW old you are. Anyways, I decided that the "real" characters--jasmine, aladdin, snow white, etc. ) have always been the most fun to meet. But, when I called, the castle was booked (I know that's what they've said, but I've never had trouble my last 2 trips getting a breakfast here, and this time we're in the OFF season!). Anyways, this breakfast was booked my first two choices, also, so I had to rearrange our whole itinerary to make this work. My point is that even though it might be your "second" choice, it'll fill up quite quickly, too, so be sure to call as soon as you can for it.

Anyways, off the subject, we'll eat lunch in the castle, go to the Ice Cream Social to meet Mickey and friends, go to Crystal Palace for dinner to meat Winnie the Pooh and friends and go to this breakfast to meet the Princesses and their friends.
