Okay, so I gotta ask this, too, sorry:

What' s the best holiday food(s) you've had in DL within the past year, and where did you find them?

I'd love to find hot cider, good hot chocolate, pumpkin pie on a stick (ha ha), etc. You get the idea.

Thanks!

PS: Bonus points if you can document any holiday (mint?) Mousketeer-bar variations you've tried in DL! :santa:

The pumpkin muffins with the Cream cheese in the middle!! Too Die for! They should be coming out right about now! YUM!!!!!!!!!!!

I'm not sure but they had them in November last year. They sell them at the Blue Ribbon Bakery on Main Street and they are so yummy. I believe they had raisins in them if you like Raisins. Let's see they also had some awesome giant cookies and of course the big gingerbread men and they have hot cocoa and I believe some different flavored mochas as well. I can't remember if they had hot cider or not. But def try the Blue Ribbon Bakery. That is where all the good stuff is on Main Street.

Oh and if you like fudge they have holiday fudge. For fall they have pumpkin fudge and for christmas they have pepermint and egg nogg.

That's all I can think of for now but I am sure there is more.

Pumpkin fudge...mmm...I have to get it every year!!!

They used to have berry churros that I really liked...tasted like Crunch Berries! Yum...

Last year the bakeries in DL and DCA had several different pumpkin-type things during Disney's HalloweenTime - there was a pumpkin cheesecake, the aforementioned muffins, and Mickey cookies in a pumpkin shape. I don't remember what there was for Christmas!

I think the best hot chocolate I've had is from La Brea Bakery Express, since they make it with steamed milk and not just out of a machine. Though maybe the hot chocolate from Bakers Field Bakery is made that way, too, since I recall that it was also pretty good.

There's a tamale wagon at the end of Main Street near the camera shop - that used to be something they offered just at the holidays, though sometimes I've seen it out during the year.

TAMALE WAGON ??? !!!

Oh man....I'm gonna be all over those tamales! I used to live near San Antonio & I'd gain 20 lbs during the holidays cause everyone was bringing homemade Christmas Tamales in to work.

The only thing better would be if they had a "taco truck" in there.

hound <----- has NO problem with immigration etc. as long as "taco trucks" (or any immigrant's "truck") is easily accesible for my dining pleasure. :)

So the pumpkin "things" are available now? LOL That looks so weird. We are going next month but then won't be back until after New Years, I'd love to try the fudge and the muffins....those sound so good!!

I'm not sure about the pastries, but for the past few years, pumpkin fudge hasn't been available until October...I know this b/c they didn't have it last year when we went for our anniversary, which is the end of Sept...

OOOOOOOH Tamales! better yet Tamales followed by chocolate , now more to look out for , I am so going to eat my way around the park this next trip!

the pumpkin fudge is to die for...but as far as hot chocolate goes...its as bad as nesca caca...watered down wanna be chocolate...it is hot though:lmao:

They used to have themed Nightmare before X-mas desserts at the restaurant right by the HM. They changed every year, but I don't know if they still do it. One time it was cheese cake with a spider on top and a chocolate cake with zero and a bone. The ones I tried were very good!

They currently have 2 mini cheesecakes in Zero bowls (one topped with strawberries and one topped with chocolate sauce and nuts) and a chocolate cake with a Jack head on top at the French Market. Oh and they also have a fruit bowl inside of a Zero bowl for those who don't want dessert, but want the dog bowl.

Is it a real dog bowl? Suitable for a small dog?

no pumpkin fudge yet, as of today... :(

Last year they had the best carmel apples. My favorite was the Apple Pie carmel apple....I am planning my lunches around those for our upoming trip!!
