Planning a trip next year between Thanksgiving and Xmas. Want to plan on going to Xmas party next year. When do they release the dates? Also wondering which week is POP Warner week? Is anyone else planning a trip next year also?

I'm planning our next trip for December too. Pop Warner is usually around the first week of December, from what I've read. I also believe that the MVMCP dates are announced towards August. Of course, anything can change between now and next December. ;)

We are planning now! We have the resort booked and are working on event and meal planning! So can not wait!!!

Although I have to finish planning my May trip first!! :teeth:

I am hoping that I get my 7 day pass for Christmas and then that will cover both trips.

In December we plan on just a 4 night trip and attending the MVMCP and then going to Epcot. Laid back trip! :goodvibes

I want to attend the Thursday Dec 14th party. There should be one that night if it is like this year.

Not sure where we will stay for this trip. May wait for discount codes and try Port Orleans. I would love the Wilderness lodge, but it is usually booked full in December.

In May we rented DVC points and so I am anxious to see how all that goes.

I have already thought about where we will eat in December. I know we will do Ohana on our first night. Maybe dinner at MK the night of the Party.

I have to have something to plan!!! :confused3 It is a sickness!!

Next year at this time will will be there!!!!!! :wizard: :goodvibes :wizard: :Pinkbounc

Me Too! Me Too! Count me in! After Dh saw Holidays at Disney on Food Network and found out some of the crowds could be avoided--he was hooked!I too an very curious about Pop Warner week--any info anyone?

We're already booked for same time next year....Sat after Thanksgiving for 6 nights.

The MVMCP dates/tickets went on sale I believe May 1 this year. So check around that time to purchase the tickets. I bought ours for this year on I think the 3rd day, and they mailed them out shortly after.

That week is a great time to go. We just got back, actually, and the lines were non-existent. MVMCP was great too!

Already booked and ready to make ADR's. Just gotta wait for that 180 day mark

wow you guys are already booked your hotels ? i havent even booked my hotel for my june visit yet ... yikes.. i better get in gear

WOW! You guys are booked already for December!!!!! I am just trying to find out which week would be better!!! I too haven't booked our June trip, trying to see what BRP rates are going to be first. I was thinking about the Sunday after Thanksgiving till Thursday. That should give use plenty of time to see evrything. We are planning an all girls reunion trip with my mom and sisters. We are commando type vactioners, so we will be able to get everything in :rotfl: :rotfl: Yes, we drive our husbands crazy, they are all really relaxed and laid back. :rotfl: We just go until we drop!!

Do you think they will have MVMCP that early next year? Looks like it is every 2 days, so surley we will be able to see it. We made the mistake this year with MNSSHP< as making that our MK day. We missed sooo much that we, so we need to schedule 2 days for MK. I can't wait!!!!! Yeah!!!!

We are planning Dec 9-16. We are at DVC so have to wait for the 11month window to open in January to book.

Pop Warner is typically the first full week in December. Usually, they stay the the Value Resorts. People typically report that things are more rowdy at the resorts than at the parks. Logical since the parks can absorb larger crowds than a resort. We usually go the first week of December, but DH says lets go second week this time and see how it goes.

MVMCP tickets have gone on sale on or near May 1 every year for the past 4-5 years. It's the Candlelight Processional Packages that usually go on sale in August sometime. But with the new 180 day window, who knows what will happen with that in 2006.

We loved our first December trip this year, but when next year's school calendar (first draft) went up today, I started dreaming of January 2007! No MVMCP, but maybe NYE?

I'll be calling in early Feb for the 11 month window. :cool1:

We want to get through this season first before we even consider anything else. Depending on the crowds, we may have to reconsider when we visit during the holiday season. The crowds and some of the guests associated with large crowds are attempting to give us a less than pleasant experience.

Well, at this point all I know is we're going in December but not sure when. DW and I celebrate our 25th next 12/26 and we're trying to get DS/DIL/DGD and the extended family to join us at WDW at Christmas (DW has always wanted to WDW at Christmas). Right now it's looking like that will happen and I'll be digging deep into the old DVC points balances to get the rooms. But if that falls through we'll be doing the early December trip since DW has picked the last three trips and it's my turn. ;)

Same situation here. We've got hotel booked for 12/4-9. We've also made our HDDR ADR and waiting for the rest to open up at the 180 day mark. We haven't decided on all the restaurant yet, but we're talking about it.

Of course, we may want to see how we like our restaurants during our upcoming trip in a couple of weeks. Can I just say it feels weird planning the next trip when we have one coming up in about 2.5 weeks? :confused3

Not booked yet, but I think we will go Dec. 3-9 (yep, probably Pop Warner week) and stay at POFQ. Haven't made reservations yet- waiting on the school calendar to come out for next year to be sure on the week.
I could probalby tell you what parks we'll do what days and where we'll eat- for the most part! Can't wait until next Dec.!!!

DH and I have Dec 2-10 booked already. Debating on doing MVMCP. We did it in 2002 and I'd like to go again, but DH doesn't want to. We'll probably end up going anyway. ;) We have MYW w/dining so, just waiting for that 180 day mark to roll around so we can make our ADR's. Also, in the mean time we're accumulating those Disney reward dollars. My goal is to not have to pay anything oop between the reward dollars and meal plan! :cool1:

Count me in too! We are booked Dec 1-10 (and have been since 499 days out!) I know it is Pop Warner week but we are at CR and have little princesses so I think we should avoid the PW crowds since we'll be doing different things, Toon town, Fantasy Land and getting there when the parks open.
I am working on the schedule. I plan on MVMCP on the Tuesday night and want to do the dining plan but have not booked that yet. I can't wait to go! :Pinkbounc

I can book Tuesday Jan 3rd for my 11month window through DVC. So just waiting for that day.

MVMCP came out May 1st in 2004 and April 30th this year so we have a couple months before we can buy tickets.

Although there usually is an unofficial release of dates prior.

I imagine there will be one on Tues Nov 28th as we have always gone to MVMCP on the Tuesday after Thanksgiving. So I will plan on that.

Going Friday after Thanksgiving then taking our first 3 day Disney Cruise (Wonder) Nov. 30th. Can't stop thinking about it and CAN'T WAIT. We always attend MVMCP, it's a family tradition. We take our 4 1/2 year old nephew with us and are trying to convince my niece to let him skip Thanksgiving at home so we can leave a couple of days earlier, but not sure that will fly. Alternative is to pay for her and her husband to come with us, if things work out OK financially we'll do that. Also going to try to work in a long weekend before then, just CAN'T stay away sooooooooo long. We say at the Buena Vista Palace (formerly Wyndham formerly Buena Vista Palace) at DTD.

Hey everyone! I'm so glad to have found this thread! DH and I went to WDW the second week of December last year and absolutely LOVED it seeing everything decorated for Christmas, etc.

For 2006, we're going to do the same thing, but for a longer period of time and with our whole family, in laws, etc. I'm working on the itinerary now and so far I have us going to the MVCP on the 13th. Most of the group is staying from 12-9 through 12-17, but DH and I are staying a couple of extra days with our expected baby. We're staying at POFQ, and made our reservations about a month ago.

Of course, with a large group of people I love, many of which haven't seen much of WDW, I've found that I have a large task cut out for myself in trying to schedule all of our favorite activities. I've already booked the Hoop De Doo Review for 12-10.

This will be our first vacation after the baby is born (unless I can convince DH to do the September disney cruise I've been eyeing), so we're really looking forward to seeing WDW through our little one's eyes.
