Holiday Displays

We are heading down this Thurs. and would like to be sure to see all the gingerbread and chocolate sculptures at the resorts. I could swear there was a thread or two last year about which resorts had these types of displays. Of course, now I can't find what I'm looking for.

I have seen the house at the GF so I know about that one, and I did see a thread on another page in this forum where someone mentioned they were assembling a gingerbread house at the Boardwalk. I seem to recall a Travel channel special which showed a chocolate sculpture of a carousel that was either at SSR or Boardwalk, and either a chocolate sculpture or gingerbread house at the Contemporary. Are there others that are typically out each year?

We just went to WDW in October, so we plan on taking away some of our park time to see the Christmas decor at the resorts. The gingerbread houses are our top priority though, as one of DD's roles in her dance school's Nutcracker production is a gingerbread.

All the resorts have decorations, while the deluxes are the most elaborate, the moderates have some lovely ones as well.

Almost all of the Deluxe resorts have some large show piece. The gingerbread and chocolate show pieces are at the GF (gingerbread), Contemporary (gingerbread), BW (chocolate), and BC (chocolate). The YC has a mini-City display. AKL and WL have huge trees. The only deluxe that didn't really have much last year was the Poly. The Swan also had a chocolate show piece. The Dolphin had a poinsettia "tree". Oh, there was also a gingerbread house in Epcot (Liberty Inn).

The moderates all had smaller trees, wreathes, and swag. The values had small trees and wreathes. It was fun to see the different decorations at the resorts, so if you have time, it's well worth it.
