Holiday dips

I make a crab dip that has equal parts cream cheese and crab (I get the crab in the can, claw meat I think) mix a little cocktail sauce in it for color. Let sit over night. I usually shape it in a ball shape. I cover it with cocktail sauce prior to serving. I always make my own cocktail sauce but store bought will work as well. I serve it with crackers, usually triscuits.

I've made pumpkin dip and a chocolate chip cookie dough dip. Anyone have any others?

um... recipes, please???? These sound amazing. What do you dip in them? Just a spoon?

The only "dip" I make is lazy french onion dip using sour cream and lipton's onion soup mix.

Cannoli dip is wonderful....I think I got the recipe from pinterest

I do a nacho dip that is asked for at every informal gathering. Will double it and use in my 2-quart crock pot.

1 lb. Velveeta (yeah, I know)
1 can chili without beans
1 4 oz can chopped green chilis
4 green onions, chopped

Cube the "cheese" and then mix with everything else. Heat on low a couple of hours until melted, stirring every half hour or so. Serve with nacho chips.

Fruit dip! Use for dipping apple slices, strawberries, etc.

1 can of marshmallow fluff
1 8oz container strawberry cream cheese

Mix together. Simple, and people love it! It was a hit at a high school potluck.
:)

Boudin dip

8 ounce sour cream
8 ounce cream cheese
1/2 cup fresh green onions, chopped
3 links boudin

Directions:
Place links in microwave for 1 1/2 minutes or until warm (cover while you heat). Mix sour cream, cream cheese, and green onions in a medium size bowl. Remove boudin from the casing and mix with the with sour cream mixture. Serve with your favorite crackers or chips.

I cop out when it comes to dips (I have too many other things to make!) - I usually use a Tastefully Simple mix. You just add a block of cream cheese and some type of shredded cheese and heat it up. Last year I did the Warm Pizza Dip, this year I'll probably be doing the Santa Fe Dip and the Asiago Alfredo Dip.

ETA: My mother got me into QVC recently and I think I might try Sausage Dip and/or Bacon Double Cheeseburger Dip that I saw mentioned...

Easy, delicious dip recipe!!!

1/2 jar (11.5 oz) of Harry and David's Sweet Red Pepper relish
8 oz cream cheese, softened

Mix together, refrigerate.

We love using them with different chips and crackers.

Loaded baked potato dip is a new favorite of mine. It is super easy too

1 container sour cream
Bacon bits (I use the real ones found with the salad toppings not the ones in the jar)
Shredded cheddar cheese
Green onions
Salt & pepper to taste

I serve it with wavy lays, yum. For a twist I once added in a packet of ranch dressing mix.

Our traditional Dill Dip. Goes with with fresh veggies, pretzels, rye round.

Dill Dip

1 1/3 c Mayo
1 1/3 c Sour Cream
2 Tbsp of fresh chopped parsley
2 Tbsp of grated fine onion
2 tsp dill weed
2 tsp Beau Monde (Spice Islands)

Cheese Ball

1 Jar Kraft Roka Blue
1 Jar of Kraft Old English
1 brick cream cheese
1 block of shredded extra sharp Cracker Barrel Cheddar
1/2 tsp of worcestershire sauce
1/4 tsp of garlic powder

Let cream cheese soften up. Mix up ingredients with a mixer. Put in fridge for awhile to set up a bit.

Form into 2 balls and roll in finely chopped nuts, parsley, etc. Or put into container for a spread.

Brownie batter dip and funfetti dip! All thanks to Pinterest :)

No fair posting without recipes! They sounds amazing! ;)

I use hearty dips usually. Like Velveeta and hamburger meat in a crock pot. I also use buffalo chicken dip and sausage dip.

I make a BLT dip that everyone always loves.

8 oz. sour cream
8 oz. real mayo
4 Roma tomatoes (cut out insides, throw away and dice the rest)
1 pkg Oscar Meyer bacon bits (they are in a bag, not the hard ones in a jar)

I usually double it and serve with Wheat Thins.

Love that BLT dip! It's awesome!

I make a cherry cheesecake dip-
1 block cream cheese, softened
2 tubs cool whip
1 jar marshmellow fluff
2 cans cherry pie filling
Scooby Doo Graham Sticks - for dipping

Mix cream cheese, cool whip and marshmellow fluff together, spead in 9x13 pan, top with 2 cans cherry pie filling and serve with the graham sticks on the side for dipping.

Yummy!

I have one of those crockpots that has three small crocks in it. I always have smokies in BBQ, meatballs in grape jelly/chili sauce mix, and jalapeno chicken dip (I have Tostito's Scoops for this!).
This is called Jalapeno Chicken though it is not hot and you can leave the jalapenos out and it is still good. It is also a pseudo recipe. I never measure.

Shredded chicken (I shred a whole chicken)
A large container of sour cream
a bag of shredded cheddar (I shred an 8 oz block)
diced jalapenos
frozen chopped spinach (thawed and drained well)

Shred your chicken, add in the spinach, a few spoonfuls of the jalapeno (how much depends on how hot you like it), mix in the sour cream and add the cheese. I then heat it in the oven at 350 for around 20-30 minutes until hot.

For holidays/hosting events, I keep it hot in a crockpot. I serve with tortilla chips. We like the bowls. For Thanksgiving I make a double batch since the guys eat it up first. This freezes well too.

And I make savory shrimp crostini though I leave off the shrimp for me. I could live on this dip. I love it. http://www.publix.com/aprons-recipes/hearty-appetizers

This recipe is sooooo good. You will NOT regret making it!

Cheese ball for veggies or crackers:

3 8 oz. packages of cream cheese
3 green onions
1 tablespoon of Accent
1 tablespoon of Worcestershire sauce
1 5 oz. package or 2 glass jars of dried beef

Let cream cheese soften. Dice or chop onions, green parts and all. Chop dried beef, saving 1/2 of beef to roll the ball in. Combine all ingredients and form into a ball. Roll in remaining dried beef. Chill.

This is always requested: Rueben dip

1/2pd shaved deli corned beef
1sm. can sauerkraut(drained)
1 pkg. cream cheese
1 sm. plain yogurt
1 clove garlic
1 cup swiss cheese (shredded)
2tbsp Thousand Island dressing

bake 300 until hot, can be baked in hollowed out bread loaf
serve with rye chips
