Ok, I know I'm literally only just back but I'm already thinking about next years holiday! We aren't really sure where to go, DH doesn't want to go to the USA next year (I DO!!! BUT anyway!)We've spent lots of time in canaries, Greek islands and Spain and would like to go somewhere different, any suggestions?

I can highly reccomend turkey...we had a great time !

Egypt is popular as well at the moment :)

Did you do all inclusive Nat? Which resort did you go to?

we stayed in marmaris at the club atrium/melay hotel ( there is a group on my facebook pages ) we did self catering ....without actually doing any catering , the food is cheap enough !

I can second Turkey - although we went a few years ago before we had the girls we would like to go back. We stayed in a pretty quiet resort near Olu Deniz which has one of the best beaches I've ever been to:thumbsup2

We are returning to Spain soon which is always a bonus travelling with children as it's such a short flight.....

I also like the quieter parts of Cyprus.

We went to Kos and Tunisa and we didn't like either very much and wouldn't be in a hurry to return.

Many destinations have their upsides and downsides IMHO.

I've travelled all over France on family holidays and some places have been grotty, particularly in the north, but IMO the south is really nice. It's so easy to fly there now, we used to drive!

hi we also enjoyed turkey, we stayed in icmeler, one of the pretiest resorts we have stayed in, my mum now lives in marmaris so will be staying with her next year. :thumbsup2 so flights only for us. we have been twice and did both self catering and all inclusive. prefered self catering liked to look around and choose what we wanted to eat, never had a bad meal once

Brittany in France (Especially Carnac) is very beautiful. Done loads of family holidays there in my time and loved them!!

Other than that I'd have to recommend good ole 'Blighty! We've done loads of holidays in the UK and we've loved them all!!

Bob xoxoxo

I've been to Turkey and i agree its a nice place to go (we went Icelemer too) the only thing that put me off was being harrased everytime we walked past a restuarant. I was only 17 at the time so maybe things have changed.

i'd recommend south africa, the rand is so weak at the moment that its a bargain holiday destination, also theres loads of things to do, great cities, fabulous scenery, shopping, wildlife, wineries and fabulous beaches - also no jet lag! :woohoo:

Although I've never been I will agree with this.
SA is on our shortlist for next year.
