After listening to the podcast where resort decorations were discussed, I felt a need to chime in. We were at Disney last December at this time and I'm thinking that the decline actually started at the resorts last year. The Yacht Club had the "village" display, that I would characterize as an elaborate Dept. 56 village. That and the tree decorated with sailboats was it. Now I wonder what was there the years before!
The Boardwalk and Beach Club were very nice with the carousel and gingerbread decorations. It was apparently the same as this year.
The Contemporary had a gingerbread tree and stand to buy gingerbread at the Mary Blair wall. That was up on the concourse level. There were, of course trees decorating the lobby.
I have to agree, that if you've never seen it, you wouldn't know what you are missing, but boy, now I know and I would be disappointed if it were further reduced when I go back.
