"Holiday" Code Question - TDS

I ordered one item on November 2 from The Disney Store using that infamous holiday code. I received my confirmation, but have no idea if my item shipped. Any idea how to find out if this item shipped? It's a gift that I need ASAP. I did email TDS and apparently they aren't reading email because I received an automated response on how to return items. LOL I didn't ask them about returning items; I asked them if my item had shipped.

Any way to find this out? I'm disappointed in how Disney is handling the code situations. Either honor the codes or don't, but at least let the consumers know what is going on. <sigh>
 
You should be able to access your account on the TDS site after logging in. Find an order number and then track it.
 
Log in to your account, view your order history and see what it says. If it says the order is still "at distribution center" they are not going to ship it unless you send in the Holiday card and it is an eligible purchase. Otherwise they will eventually cancel the order.

I looked it up via the orde # and it says "at distribution center."

I guess that means it will not ship without this infamous card? I never received any email from them at all with respect to them wanting me to send in the card. What if I had thrown away the card right after I placed the order and received the confirmation?

They really messed up on this. I'm disappointed in how they handled this. <sigh>

thanks for your help. Had it not been for this board, I would not have known there was a problem with the orders, lol.
 
Is this a proven fact? Mine is at the distribution center as well. It is a personalized gift--don't think they'd cancel it if it was personalized, but I've received no EMails. It says the order is Active. I have no card. Darn it, I only ordered ONE thing!

YES, it's a proven fact. Here is the e-mail response I got from the Disney Store:

Thank you for your recent inquiry.

We have received your order, however, to enable us to release your order for shipment, we need to match your actual Holiday Magic Card with our records of your actual order. Please mail your Holiday Magic Gift Cards, along with your name, address and order numbers, to :

Holiday Magic Card Redemption
Disney Online
PO Box 29144
Shawnee Mission, KS 66201-9144

Upon receipt and verification of the above, we will release your order and credit your account for any applicable Holiday Magic Card discounts, plus $.39 postage reimbursement. If we do not receive your Holiday Magic Card by midnight, November 23, 2002, your order will be canceled.

We have learned that information about the Holiday Magic Gift Card was inaccurately posted on certain internet websites and email services without Disney's prior knowledge or authorization. We regret that we can only provide the $15 discount to those customers who actually received the Holiday Magic Card as part of the qualifying promotion, and can not honor any unauthorized uses.

So NO, they will not contact you, I had to ask. And if you don't send in the card by the deadline the order is cancelled.

I suggest you e-mail them yourself for the final verdict. :)
