Just want to tell everyone to be sure to check your account activity statement after a trip, especially if you have a segmented one.
We returned a few weeks ago and when I checked my DVC account, everything looked fine. I should have had 5 points left and that is what I saw on the summary page.
Today, I went to bank those 5 points--need them to make a reservation Tuesday-- and it said I had no points to bank. I then looked at the activity statement and it said they were in holding. Someone had canceled and re-booked things on August 5th--5 days prior to our trip. I know it wasn't me so I gave MS a call.
Apparently, the front desk at BWV had to make adjustments because of the segmented travel plan to get things to work. Because I have two BLT contracts, they didn't use all of the holding points they created when they re-booked things, instead taking 5 regular points.
It was an easy fix for MS and I went ahead and banked the points without problem. Because I never looked at the activity statement when I returned, only the summary page, I did not realize those points were restricted.
So, just be sure to check everything. I am sure it was easier to get it fixed only 3 weeks later than it would have been 3 months from now.
