Holding Act pts

Hi, We have a 2br reserved for a week in Dec (6-13th) and the couple that were going with us have had to cancel. So, I put us on the waiting list for a 1br at the BCV. If the waiting list comes thru after Nov 6th my points will go into a holding act, correct?

So, if that is correct, my use yr is April, so I would have to use the points before the end of March. Is it possible to stay at a DVC resort in the last month of my use yr? I think the rule only applies to the exchanges outside of the DVC resort, but I wanted to make sure!
We are thinking we will bank the points if the 1br comes thru before the 30 days and to try for a studio for 5 nights if it does not.

That is correct. You would have to use Holding Ccount points by March 31, 2004. You can always use them at a DVC resort- subject to availability and can also use them at non-DVC options.

However, during the last 60 days of your Use Year, you cannot reserve and use a reservation at a non-DVC resort during that same time period. This is because DVC must have the opportunity to rent those points to pay for the non-DVC option.
