Hold time with Disney

Is it just me or do you have to hold an awfully long time every time you call? I wonder if its because I am calling the toll free number so they are not in any hurry to answer it (seems like they would give that priority since it's on their dime and not mine). I was on hold like 50 or 55 minutes yesterday morning. Then last night when I called back to check to see if any cancellations, I was on hold for 25 minutes. Just now I was on hold for 10 minutes and finally had to hang up since I am at work.
Is anyone getting straight through- and if so what number are you calling?
Also, one other question......does anyone know what is the best time to call to check on cancellations for PS. Is there any particular time when they put those back in the system???

I've gotten straight through several times, and I only call the toll free #. Other times I've had to sit on hold, just depends on the time I guess. Today I got right through, it was about 4 pm or so.
 
First thing in the morning has been a long wait (60 minutes plus for us on Thursday), with the time decreasing as you go through the day (20 minutes for us this morning at 10:00 a.m. EDT). In the past, I've usually gotten straight through in the afternoon. Unless you're calling for premium PS (CRT, etc.) or absolutely have to have a specific time and place, wait until later in the day.
