Visiting for 3 nights with my 24 year old son. I can get good deals on Hojos and Courtyard by Marriott Theme park Entrance. I'm thinking hojos may have lots of kids compared to the Courtyard. Any thoughts on the better hotel? Thanks!

I actually think the Courtyard would have more kids than the Hojo. We have stayed at the Hojo 36 nights in their kids suites, but the majority of their rooms are not set up for kids.

We like the fact their water playground is in entirely separate location from their actual garden pool and this keeps the younger kids away from the larger pool for the most part. At the Courtyard it's all in the same place - so if you want to relax by the pool you'd likely have a quieter experience at the Hojo. Just walking past either of the water playgrounds makes my head spin with all the screaming from the younger kids.

The Courtyard is clearly newer and nicer in that regard though! Both hotels are owned by the same company. They told us when we checked in during our last visit.

Ooopppss. I rechecked the name of the hotel. The correct Marriott is the Courtyard by Marriott Anaheim. Sorry...any thoughts?

From what I can tell, Courtyard is going to cost you about $100 more every night. I'm only seeing pricing around $280/night and up. And that's comparing a normal room at Courtyard to a park view room at HoJo. The Courtyard has way better waterslides than the simple water playground at HoJo, and it's a little bit closer to the parks but not much - maybe 50 yards closer. Honestly, at the prices Courtyard charges, you might as well go over to Paradise Pier.

I'd change the name of the thread then as otherwise people are going to give you feedback on the new Courtyard right across from the Hojo.
