I have been trying (unsuccessfully) to do a search for the last hour on Hojo, but nothing is turning up. Which is insane since Hojo is mentioned in every other post on here. :confused3 Anyway, I am looking for any and all information, comments, opinions anyone may have on Hojos Building 2, specifically. I have reservations for our 9/25-10/2 trip for a standard room, but after checking rates today, I could upgrade to a NQQ2 for about $150 cheaper. I don't know why I am even asking because seeing it there in black and white just makes me go, "Duh, $150 cheaper for a better room?!?! Jump on it." So I think I am going to send out a quick email to Jennifer at Hojo to see if I can get it done, but still I would appreciate any info anyone has. Thanks for anyone who survived my rambling. ;)

Go for it. Absolutely, positively no reason NOT to do it. I promise.

REALLY.

REALLY REALLY!

I've stayed at the DLH, GCH, and PPH and I still prefer the Bldg. 2 rooms at the HoJo.

Convinced yet? ;) :goodvibes

You just pushed me over the edge, DM!! I don't know what I am so concerned about with switching. It is an upgraded room for $150 LESS!!! It's a no brainer! I would still love to hear any opinions from anyone who wants to share their experience with Bldg 2. Like, I am really interested to know if you can see the fireworks from any of the rooms with a balcony??? Does anyone know??

Unfortunately, the fireworks can't be seen from the balconies in Bldg. 2. If you want a fireworks view, you need to be in the premium view rooms in Bldg. 1. However, the fireworks are beautiful to view from the Jacuzzi, or even just standing outside in the courtyards between Bldg. 2 and the Pavillion buildings (I've done that with my family several times).

Oh, and one other thing. Not all rooms in Bldg. 2 have balconies. So if you want one, you need to request one.

Also - not all the beds in Bldg 2 have been upgraded. We just checked out of HOJO's today (1/4) after a 3 night stay in Bldg 2. We asked to switch rooms after the 1st night because the mattress was as hard as a rock. :scared1: (We have stayed in Bldg 1 many times and after sleeping in those wonderful beds there was no way I was going to sleep on the hard ones! ;) )
The mattress was good in the second room, although I swear they are different than the Bldg 1 beds we have slept on. The Bldg 1 Disney View room beds seem higher of the ground and a little more "pillowtop" to me!:)

I would hope that by late September 2009, the remaining beds in Bldg. 2 would be upgraded. Keeping my fingers crossed. :goodvibes

We just stayed in building 2 in early Dec. I requested upgraded bedding and mattresses. We were on the first floor in room 2-109 which had a small "balcony". Since it was ground floor it was just a small enclosed patio with a sliding glass door to go out. We had a view of the garden pool and could see the fireworks from the back parking lot. My DS and DNiece and I watched the fireworks from the parking lot the first night we were there. You could see the really high fireworks, just not the low ones or any projections (obviously). ;)
