Hi Everyone, I hope you all had a wonderful Christmas.
I've been searching the boards trying to find a post that was made by who I like to call the "HOJO Plaza Goddess"
I can't recall your name, I just know you have a picture of a Disney princess laying down with your daughter I think?? Regardless....the post I'm looking for is the one that went over all the abbreviations of the Anaheim Plaza Hotel on the types of rooms. I have been trying to find that on the website but I can't get that specific page to open for some reason.
Another question I have....to those that have stayed there, what rooms do you reccommend? We are planning on going 3/2-3/8 needing just 2 double/queen beds. The entertainment rate shows an unbeatable rate for that week. My next question is how long will that rate remain available??? We are hoping to book as soon as possible but may need to wait a few more weeks. Will that rate remain or is there a chance it could be blocked out? I've been checking the website a few times a day hoping and praying it's still there.:rolleyes1
Just a note, we're looking for just a standard room, doesn't need to be a Disney View, we live in the parks all day and only sleep there anyway. I would prefer a more quiet room since we do go back to the room for my son to nap during the day so something by the pool may not be such a great idea.
Thanks for all your help :)

Hello MommyWithDreams-

It sounds like the room that would be perfect for you and your family is an 'NQQ2'. This is a deluxe room with two queen beds, facing our Garden Pool in Building 2. I happen to think that these are the some of the quietest rooms on our property, and they are the rooms I prefer to stay in when I stay here at our hotel.

[The pool that this room faces is a much quieter pool than our Main Pool area, and I've never had a problem with noise when I've stayed in those rooms.]

The Entertainment Rate is subject to availability and is subject to change at any time, so I would definitely book now while it's still open! We have a 48-hour cancellation policy, so you would have until 5p, 48 hours prior to your arrival to cancel without a charge.

I hope that this information has been helpful to you! If there are any other questions or concerns that you have, please don't hesitate to let me know! I'd love to help you in any way that I can!

We look forward to hearing from you soon!

Regards,
Lorealle

HoJo Plaza Goddess? Oh my, you're too kind.

You will want to book that ent. rate right away. They have a 48 hr. cancellation policy so you won't be out any money. I would request a NQQ2 (2 queens in Bldg. 2 by the quiet pool) room. It gets you the best room for your buck with the lowest ent. rate. This is the quietest building and I'd recommend ground level so you don't have to wait for the elevator.

Hey, I'm going to be there the same time 3/2-3/4 with my dd for her 6th birthday! I already have our NQQ2 room booked at the ent. rate. :thumbsup2

Oh Lorealle thank you so so so very much!!! I completely had forgotten we had our own resident employee of HOJO's.
I might be picking your brain a bit from now until March. We are booking things so much later than we did last year due to me getting sick in November but we're VERY much looking forward to our trip in March.

Thanks again for the tips...we shall be booking soon :)

DANGERMOUSE!!! Ok now I won't forget your name. :)
Well I certainly hope we can meet while we're there, how exciting!
One more question about those rooms, do they have balconies/patios?

I believe all the ground floor rooms have patios, but only some of the upper level rooms have balconies. You can place your requests for ground level/balcony/no balcony etc. with your reservation and the HoJo is always really good about doing their best to accommodate those requests. They won't guarantee them, however.

Pick away! And when you're ready to book, just ask for me! I'd love to help walk you through a reservation!

Ok one more quick question....for the Entertainment book, does one have to purchase one for only the Orange County area? Or can we get one for our area that has the HOJO's specials in it?
We're purchasing our book online today and will be booking our room tonight! THANK YOU!

Get your own area's book. Or another area, even. Doesn't really matter. :)

And you really only have to have the book (or rather, the card that comes in the book) when you're there, though, of course, if there are good local coupons (for instance, my area's book has a $5 Safeway coupon (one of four, one for each quarter) that expires soon) you want it asap, but if you want to wait, you can do so.

Bumbershoot is right! As long as you have the Entertainment Card to present to us, you can get a book from any area that you'd like!

I called a little bit ago and spoke with Lorealle and booked a room at the Ent. Rate. I don't have a book yet but will be ordering it tonight after work. All I can say is I am very impressed with Lorealle and her professional and helpful attitude!!! What a plus she is to the HoJo and if all the staff is as pleasant as she is I've found a new hotel for my DL trips!!!

Thank You Lorealle for all your help!!

Lorealle you were already gone when I called to make our reservation. I did it online though....can I email you though with the booking info just so you can confirm it?

Hello from cold Canada!

I am staying at HoJo's for the 1st time in March 4-10, 2008! I have already booked a 2Q room with a prem. disney view! Is this really as nice as they say? Is it loud and by the 1-5?

Thanks in advance!

Hello Dragonfly*Tink!

I'm so glad that you are coming to stay with us for the first time this March!

I think that our Premium Disney View rooms* are very nice, but you can actually read Trip Reports/Reviews from people who have stayed with us, and look at pictures they have taken of our hotel online at TripAdvisor.com, if you'd like! Just search for 'Howard Johnson Plaza Hotel Anaheim' and it should pull it right up for you!

Because you've booked a room facing Disneyland in our Tower Building, you really shouldn't be bothered by freeway/street noise at all during your stay with us!

We're looking forward to seeing you! Please let me know if there is anything I can help you with in the interim!

Lorealle

[*If you guys are not over at Disneyland when they are doing the fireworks, you can actually watch them from your balcony!]

:confused3 My daughter and I are coming to disneyland in May, and we wondered what to expect for temps. and crowds. This is our first time and have booked HOJO's for 8 nights. We have upgraded our room, as my daughter sleeps very lightly. I have concerns because of some of the reports I have read concerning accommodations. She's only 9, and really liked the sounds of the splash pool! That was the main reason for booking this hotel. Any info would be greatly appreciated! Many thanks!
