has anyone stayed at the howard johnson suites kirkman rd or the clarion universal im going in august and cant make my mind up which one to stay in .inkbounc

We stayed at the Clarion Universal in August 1999, great location, you are quickly on the I4, to miss out I Drive at busy times, when heading to Disney.

When we were there the whole place was lovely very clean and well presented. Our room overlooked the lake at Wet & Wild with I Drive behind, we could even see Hulk at I O A.

thanks jessie the clarion looks nice and got a good price @$38 a night in august. have you been in august and any idea what the weather can be like as i usually go april/may.inkbounc

Hi again

Yes we have been 3 times in August, the 2nd, 9th and 24th, the weather being similar each time. It is hot and humid, and perhaps more prone to the afternoon storms, but if you get into the parks early and do the water rides and coasters early, which are the attractions likely to be affected, you should be OK.

We have had rain and storms in May and October, torrential in fact.
