FYI: Hojo recently opened up some new dates for retro rates in May and June. I was able to switch one of our dates so that we are now only paying the higher price for one night.:cool1:

Thanks for the heads up. I know there are always folks waiting for dates to open up.

Oooh crossing fingers for dates in july ( i know that's really hoping LOL)

Just keep checking daily. We are staying there for 7 days and when I originally booked, only 3 of them were available for that rate. Every now and then extra dates would pop up, and now I am down to one regular rate night.

Yay ! We are staying June 9-14th in two Disney view rooms. Having the retro rate added to the 9th will save us about $100 ( 2 rooms) !! More mickey treats for us ! :rotfl:

I hope more come up !

Great -- two of my days are now open at the retro rates!!! Not so great -- In-house reservations isn't open and you can't do a mixed reservation online. So now I'm anxiously waiting until I can call :bitelip: and selfishly hoping they will get no more room reservations until I can get my two dates switched over!

What I did when this happened was to go ahead and reserve what I wanted online and then call in-house when they opened and have them put it all together. It was no problem and just took them a couple of minutes. I did write a note in the message box on the online form to let them know.

The online code for the rate is LKEP.

Yeah!! I got two dates at the retro rates and it'll save me almost $130 from even the already-discounted Entertainment rate :cool1:

Not without a little pain, though -- I called the direct line at 9 am and asked for in-house reservations, but they transferred me to the central reservations line without even telling me they were doing so. So after 5 minutes with a person who had no clue about the retro rates and "didn't have authority" to help me, they transferred me to the REAL in-house reservations, where I got to wait on line for 15 minutes until the one person in the office today was able to help me. She was excellent, though, and had the reservation re-done within 2 minutes. I'm going to love HoJos even more now

How often do they offer retro rates? Perspiring minds wanna know.

Was that Chris? She was awesome. Got MrsLincoln and I June 8 and 9 at the retro rate. She even requested a "quiet" room since (secret!) all non-deluxe rooms face the freeway.

Thanks erocrobro!! Just updated my reservations...2 of my nights are now covered. Only saved $50...but every bit helps!!! :yay:

Don't forget to keep checking when you're there also.
The last two summers dates opened during our stay and they gave us the discounts after we'd been checked in for days!

Thanks for the heads up. Saw this last night, emailed them and had it all taken care of when I checked my email this morning! Two of our nights are offered!

I find emailing them easier than calling - no confusion about where I'm calling then!

Where is the best place to watch for retro rates and how far out do they offer them?

Just wanted to post on this thread that I just canceled our reservation for the kids suite in July. We had it booked the 15th-21st, if anyone is interested in getting a kids suite for that week, I know they were sold out. I was able to get 30% off at the DLH so we are splurging for my oldest DD's graduation trip. :cool1:

Thanks for posting this! We are staying July 17-25 and the kids suite was all booked for our first two nights. We have been checking with them periodically for cancellations, and just about gave up. I called them when I saw the post at lunch. Now we don't have to switch rooms, we have the kids suite all 8 nights!!!
