Hojo pool renovation?

Hi all! I’m wondering if anyone has information about the pool renovation at Howard Johnson. Mostly I’m just curious about what renovations are being done and when they’ll be complete. We’ll be there in March, and it may be too cold to swim anyway but I’m wondering if it’s supposed to be done by then. Thanks!

I want to say that I remember seeing that it will reopen in April? Strangely, I don't see anything about it on their website. I would contact them through FB and ask.

We're staying in mid-January and received the following email message from the General Manager about the pool closure. It doesn't sound like they're really changing anything about the pool and that the closure is primarily related to the pool restrooms located in building 2:

Thank you for booking your stay at Howard Johnson by Wyndham, Anaheim Hotel and Water Playground. We look forward to sharing our beautiful family hotel with you, just steps from the gates of the Disneyland® Resort. Over the dates of November 1, 2019 through April 15, 2020, we will be closing our Garden Pool facility. This closure is in conjunction with the complete renovation closure of Building 2. As you may know, in 2018 we completed a refresh of 104 guest rooms in Building 1 for which we have received glowing reviews, and we are excited to continue the same renovation package to 92 guest rooms in Building 2. Unfortunately, the required restroom facilities for the Garden Pool are located within the Building 2 project necessitating the pool closure. Only the Garden Pool will be closed; our Castaway Cove Water Playground, toddler pool and hot tub spa will remain open for your enjoyment. Should work be concluded early, or if parts of the facility open earlier than expected, we will post announcements and notify guests of the changes. There has been notifications during the booking process to make sure that you were made aware as many times as possible, this is our final courtesy email. If you have canceled, or received this email already, please disregard. Thank you in advance for your understanding, and we look forward to welcoming you to the hospitality of Howard Johnson Anaheim Hotel and Water Playground and the magic of Disney. Thank you, that is very helpful! It does sound like it’s just the bathrooms and not the pool being renovated.
