How many people are going? Just the three of you?
IF price were identical (unlikely), I THINK I would go for the Candy Cane Inn. It appears all the rooms have 2 queen beds (many at Hojo have two "oversized doubles" which feel much smaller to me, even though it's officially only a 6" difference). They're well within walking distance, but they offer their own shuttle if you need that. It's just a pleasant hotel.
Generally Hojo will be cheaper though--certainly if you're getting the Candy Cane Inn's highest-end room--and they're a good hotel too. I was actually disappointed in the 2 queen Park View rooms at Hojo--our view was OK (and if they've cut down the trees they said they were going to cut down, it would be even better!). But there were numerous issues, some of which were fixed (either quickly or somewhat less quickly) and some of which we didn't complain about because we figured they were part and parcel with having an older room. I think my expectations were higher because they were the most expensive/"best" rooms the whole property had to offer, so I wasn't expecting to have four problems with the room.
We liked Hojo (and the prices!) well enough to stay again in some lower-tier "garden view" rooms in mid-December and everything was great. The room had two sinks (our Premium room only had one). The heater was old and loud but we only used it once the whole trip, so that helped keep the noise down (which kept us in a better mood). The "oversized double" beds being smaller than expected was really the only "complaint" I'd have. The service was wonderful and if we looked out our patio/balcony we could see the monorail track.

It wasn't a Premium room but it wasn't anything near Premium prices so we were happy.
If you're going to use the Internet, Hojo offers wired Internet. I'd recommend you bring your own cord; in a garden view room, at least, 14' was enough to take the connection from its default location of the nightstand (!) to the table near the beds. The first time we stayed there, the Internet wouldn't work and they had to get a technician out there (who came a lot later than expected; we'd already gone back to the hotels after our mid-afternoon break!).
