HOJO Opinions Please

Looks like there are a lot of good reviews for HoJo. I am thinking the kids will love the pool and it seems really close to Disneyland. Can you really walk there? Anyone not like it or have a better suggestion. We are really into great theming, rooms for a family of 5, and an affordable rate.

Staying offsite, you won't do better than HoJo for this! If you can, try to get one of the kid's suite which have a pirate theme to them. Our kids had no problems with the walk, 10-15 minutes(if you walk slow) when they were only 5 and 7 even after 12+ hours at DL! It's a very easy walk, even at 11pm. It's like walking one long block. No complaints from my 5 year old, 2 year old rode in the stroller. It was a little too cold for us to use the pool area but it looked cute.

We love HoJo and yes the walk is easy.

I would suppose the walk being doable depends on your personality. I find it extremely nice, the walk from HoJo, while there are others that totally bash it. I would liken the walk to be about the distance from the main gates at DL to Fantasyland, of course, minus the crowd to a degree. We had our little chicken on a 5 yo dd and a 2 yo in a stroller that trip. Even at the end of the day when we literally carried one of them back to the hotel, we did not feel like it was too much.

We stayed in March last year and had days where it was downright toasty and the pool was sooooo nice. You can never 100% count on any weather though.
