Hojo Lovers: NDD1 Bed Question

So when I first made my Hojo reservation, I went with the NDD1, its what we had the last time we stayed there (five years ago, hard to believe) and I remember loving the balcony, the sky lights and not minding at all the buildings were not all the way enclosed with their corridors and that they didn't have elevators.

Another HUGE issue for me wanting an NDD1 room is the fact it has the two sinks, one inside the bathroom, one outside.

Well then I let my husband watch the HOJO video and as soon as he saw Willie lounging happily on that "Dreamscape" mattress in the Deluxe Queen rooms, he wanted that. So I changed. But now I realize the sinks are both inside the bathroom area. With two teenagers who can spend quite a bit of time getting their hair just right etc., I think we should forgo the mattresses for the sinks!

So how much better are those mattresses in the Deluxe Queen rooms? I also have to say building 2 appeals to me, partly because of its location to the garden pool and partly because it reminds me of the DLH! So that does factor into me allowing dh to have his way.;)

Can anyone who has slept on both those mattress types give me some feedback.

Thanks so much!:)

Oh yeah, forgot to ask, are ALL the NQQ2 rooms on the side of Bldg. 2 that faces the garden pool?

:hippie: I think I can help!

I'll preface this with the fact that, after being in an accident, my back is pretty much messed up for the rest of my life (ie: "chronic pain").

With that in mind...

....both types of beds at Hojo's were SUPER-COMFY to me, and, in all honesty, I noticed no difference between the "premium" beds and the "standard" beds. Both were equally comfortable. The pillows and bedding were nice, as well.

I just stayed in one of the standard rooms on the second floor with the vaulted ceilings. The bed was sooo comfy! Since it was a standard standard, we only had one sink, in the bathroom. Okay, that's all my input :)

I feel your pain spacemermaid literally. Had the same thing happened to me thanks to a major car accident many years ago that has left me with a weak, and prone to chronic pain back. That being said, my rather contankerous back has never had a problem with any of the HOJO's beds and find them to be kind on my poor abused back.

Thanks so much, I am still undecided but at least I know if I do go back to the standard room, the bed will be comfy!

I can't compare the beds since we've only stayed NQQ2. BUT all the NQQ2 rooms face the garden pool. Ask for a room in the middle of the bldg. The ones on the end - near bldg. 1 can get some freeway noise.

I do like that the outside doors on bldg 2 need your key card to enter the hotel after 10 pm. I think they probably do that on the smaller bldgs, too.
