Hi everyone,
We have had 3 wonderful stays at the HoJo in the past in the Disney view rooms in Building 1, I was hoping that someone could give me some feedback or a comparison on the 2 double standard rooms in the other buildings.
Thank you in advance

Hi! I have stayed at HoJos on about 15 separate occasions and have stayed in all the buildings. I used to stay in building two because they had queen size beds. That building is the furthest from the park. I never really cared for building one. I did haveroom with a great view of the fireworks once or twice but really didn't like the highway side. It really wasn't that noisy but you really didn't have a balcony there to use. My favorite now is the second floor of building 3, 4, 5 or 6. These less expensive rooms have Disney artwork from the artist that did small world (Blair) And, even though they to do have double beds.. it works well still with our family. I request the second floor because it has really high ceilings with skylights. If you have a small child it may be hard to get them down for naps because the rooms are bright during the day. I like it because we like to get up early in the morning to hit the park and the room is nice and bright. All rooms have a mini refrigerator and microwave. The downside to the second floor in buildings three, four, five, or six is that it does not have an elevator. So, if you have strollers you will have to carry them up the stairs.

Good luck!!

We've stayed at Hojo's numerous times over the last few years. Two times in Building 1 facing Disneyland, all other times in the double/double rooms in the two story buildings. We've only been in buildings 3 + 4, never 5 or 6. I really like the double double rooms and the buildings they're in. We always request the ground floor when staying in these rooms since we have strollers and Hojo's has always been able to honor our request. As PP said the rooms do have the Small World artwork, flat screen TVs, fridge, keurig and the great hojo beds. I have never seen a microwave in the double/doubles but maybe that has changed over the last few months. The rooms do have the extra sink outside of the bathroom which makes getting ready in the morning a little faster for everyone. One reason I like these rooms is because I don't have to use the elevator to load/unload the car. Makes it easier and faster for me. We've had views of the courtyard and views of the waterpark. All are enjoyable. Yes you get some noise from the waterpark if you're facing it directly but its never been bothersome. The kids like going out on the balcony/patio to see whats going on. So basically the double/double is our go to room. We really enjoy it and for the most part I don't see any reason to spend the extra money on the premium rooms. The only reason we sometimes do is on rundisney race weekends when I know I'll be in the room earlier than normal and that will be our only opportunity to watch fireworks.

Another vote of confidence for the 2 double-bed "run-of-house" rooms in bldgs 3, 4, 5, and 6. Just as nice as the Tower 1 rooms (although smaller beds), and you're closer to the nice grounds of the hotel. These rooms won me over from staying in Tower 1 with a view. But do not there's no elevator, only stairs to get to the second floors.

We love the HoJo! But I would NOT recommend Building 5. We stayed there on the lower level, and the freeway noise was horrible - way worse than the highway side of Building 1. We love the Kids' Suites!

We used to always stay at HoJo's until they raised their prices and did away with the Entertainment rate, so now we stay at BWPPI. Our preference is building 2, which overlooks the quiet pool. We love the interior corridors and the view of the pool was wonderful. Our last stay at HoJo's was in 2010 and we ended up with two standard rooms in one of the two-story buildings because building 2 was booked by the time we made our travel plans. The room looked a little tired and worn, but was fine for the most part. Our major complaint was the noise level. A few times we headed back to our rooms for a mid-day break and the room would just shake every time the door to one of the other rooms would close. Also, the view from my son's room was of someone's office in the main lobby building. He didn't feel like he could leave his drapes open because the person was right there across the walkway. I'd love to stay at HoJo's again, but only if I could get a good room rate and if we could get building 2.

We stayed in a standard room for the first time last year. We were on the ground floor of building 3, the room was just a spacious as the premium building 1 rooms and we couldn't hear any freeway or water park noise. I'd stay there again to save some money!

How are the Premium Two-Bedroom King Suite with Bunk Bed rooms?
I am staying with 4 teenagers (2 boys and 2 girls) so I thought the two-bedroom suite was a good idea.
We are going to be staying there in Mid-December.
ANY feedback would be great! I feel like I still have time to make some changes.

VERY VERY weird question, but we are staying at the HoJo with a 1 year old that doesn't nap well with other people around.

Do you think the bathrooms are big enough to put a crib or pack and play in? The best bet, in my mind, would be to give her that room to nap in and one of us can stay in the room and the other run to the lobby and use the restroom if needed...

We're desperate on naps.

I wouldn't put a crib in a bathroom, personally.

I understand the problem, as our DD is similar in that regard. I have considered bringing command hooks (the ones that don't damage walls) and attaching them to the ceiling and bringing a curtain to hang from them that would provide a barrier to.her seeing us.

We may not need it, as she's working on giving up naps, but I.would do.something like that before.putting her in the bathroom.

:thanks: in advance . . . ANY feedback would be great! I feel like I still have time to make some changes.

Last time we were there my Brother had a baby. They were able to fit her Pack n' Play in the closet of the room so she could have a dark space to nap in.

Another vote for 3, 4, 5, 6 AND upstairs. No elevator, but we don't mind at all. The rooms are so bright and big and the beds are SO comfy!!!

I also, like staying facing the water park...the bell dinging doesn't even bug me at all...or I'm not there long enough to hear it :)

To the family bringing the baby, the rooms in building 3, 4, 5, 6 have these HUGE walk in closets...like oddly huge. When my kids were younger they would put an air matress in there and sleep. So the crib might fit in there :)

Just my 2 cents for what it's worth!!

We've only ever stayed in building 1, the first time in a 2 queen room facing the highway and the 2nd time in a kids suite which also faces the highway. We've never noticed highway noise - we have been on floor 5 I believe (or 3, can't recall). The balcony is "glassed in" so there are 2 layers of glass with several feet of air between us and the highway. We have 2 more trips coming up and both will be in kids suites in building 1. We are hooked. With our AP discount it comes out to ~$200 per night for 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. Perfect for us. We've never had a problem with the elevators and since HoJo's has those luggage rolling carts we can use it's been easy to unload and load up at the end. The luggage storage is also in building 1 so each time we checked in early, stored our bags, went to the parks, then came back and rolled the bag cart up the elevator and to our room.

It would be nice to have a park view or be closer to the water playground but for us, having DD5 sleeping in her own room makes our entire trip so much more enjoyable, as she falls asleep much faster when she's on her own and DH and I can stay up later at our leisure. Plus having the 2nd bathroom has been a luxury too.

THANKS - jina!! :D
This trip will be a SUPER SURPRISE for my two Teens and each their friends!!!
I am a little worried about Crowds that weekend because it is the beginning of Winter Break in our School District.
