HoJo Enchanted Land reviews/thoughts?

Hi - I'm looking for a potential offsite location for Sept (unless the onsite deal is as good as last year). I'm considering the Howard Johnson Enchanted Land hotel. The treehouse suite sounds neat for my 4 and 2 year olds. Anyone stayed in one? How's the pool? Any continental breakfast?

Thanks for any experience there.

We stayed there once years ago. It turned out to be a negative experience because our room was near the ice machine and the noise of people getting ice all night disturbed our sleep. I thought the pool was smallish but nice enough and the room itself was a little small - just one long room with a divider. I don't think there was a breakfast and there was no special check in as described on their web site. I would stay there again for the right price but not near the ice machine!

We stayed there a couple of years ago for one night. I did not feel very safe there and it was kind off run down. I told myself never again.

We stayed this past October and it was cheap but not that great. It was kind of rundown and there were a lot of people hanging out there. It kind of looked like they were living there. There was constant activity and people playing in the parking lot. There was some kind of pamphet slid under our door while we were in there. We had the Crayola room because I thought the kids might like it but it was just a board to write on (nothing to write with) a little table and two chairs. There was one bed and a partition separating you from the daybed that pulls out on the bottom. The kids liked that. I guess if you are looking for something cheap for 1 night, I would stay there again but not for your whole vacation. Maybe the treehouse rooms are nicer.
