We have the Kids Suite booked. I've seen various pictures of the rooms, and wonder, do all of the beds now have the white duvets, or do some still have the orange patterned bed cover? Just want to be prepared...

Thanks!

They have the white duvets with a sheet on top and underneath, so it is very clean and sanitary! There is a long rusty orange colored piece of fabric at the foot of the bed as well.

Ya, I sort of wondered what difference it made......lol :) I don't even pay attention to the color of a hotel/motel/timeshare bedcover. :)

I just have to ask....
How does one prepare themself for the color of a hotel's bedcover?

Oh good. I thought it was one of those female things that I, with my Y chromosome, couldn't possibly understand. I'm glad it's not just my half of the population :lmao:

LOL! Well, I guess I should re-phrase my question:

Do the rooms have the duvet with the removable cover that tends to be white because hotels actually wash it (and can bleach out any stains) as opposed to the polyester-backed quilt-type covers that hotels rarely wash because the dirt and stains blend in to the usually busy pattern, and therefore are the type that we immediately remove from the bed and do not use to sleep with? More hotels are going with the duvet covers because, even though, as with the colorful bed covers, they still rarely wash the duvets, at least they wash the duvet covers regularly.

Just wondering...

We'll be staying at the HoJo this summer so I hope they are using the duvets. I'm a bit paranoid about such things. I don't even use the washcloths in motels. I go to the dollar store and buy washcloths, use one each day and throw it away.

Thank you! That is the answer I was looking for :thumbsup2

No problem, OP... :) Yep... That is a HUGE reason we love staying at Hojo's... the cleanliness - never have we seen such a great 'enveloping' technique of sandwiching the duvet between the sheets. This is not during one stay, but several stays, for a week long stay at a time we have noticed this.

If it makes you feel better, OP, set aside the big orange pillow they place on the bed, as well as the footlet thing-a-ma-bob (You want thing-a-ma-bobs? I got twenty.... :rotfl2:) LOL, always think of Ariel when I hear that phrase.

Anyway, The way they envelope the sheets is SO awesome, they cover over and AROUND it. Never once did I experience the actual duvet touching my skin, and the sheets smelled so fresh and clean!! :worship:

Edited to add: It was only a week ago that we arrived home from our week long trip, and we were so sad to leave Hojo's. :( Their beds and pillows are WAY more comfy than ours. The new double sound proof patio doors are so amazing! We didn't hear ANY sound in our room from the traffic. Just - wow.

You can't even imagine the germa-phobe that I am, and I totally trust their linens and washcloths/towels as they are VERY well sanitized and clean. :goodvibes

We DID bring washcloths from home, a couple, to moisten with cold water, and lay over top of our feet at night which became so hot from walking around the parks all day long. I only did this as to not use the hotels linens for such a gross task, lol. :faint:

I also didn't want to ruin their linens with my mascara, so used pre-moistened wipes on my face to remove my eye makeup/makeup.

I totally agree with you that HoJo is the cleanest of all the hotels around DLR. The washcloth thing is just one of my weirdnesses, probably from way back when motels weren't so concerned about being clean.

Oh OK, I understand now. :) Glad you got the question answered in a good way. :) :)

I never thought of that. I have had family who worked in hotel/motels for years. They always washed every piece of bedding after each guest.
