Ok, for you HOJO pros...I finally bit the bullet (in my head) and decided to try Hojo for our May visit BUT after finding the dates, confirming they were Entertainment dates, I called the 714 number, asked for reservations, and was told they don't have the kids suite available any of those days :(

So, should I keep calling weekly to see if there are any cancellations?

What should be my next move? Our dates are flexible but the dates on the Hojo calendar for Ent rate is only 1-12 right now...and any further into my my daughter would miss her last day of school.

I'm definitely NOT panicking here but just wanted to get some Hojo Vets feedback!!

Kids suites are few and book up quickly. I'm not surprised their aren't any available in May. How many in the group and what ages? Do you need a Kids Suite?

Yes, the KidSuites do book up pretty early, I think. As an option to calling to check, you can check yourself online for promo code SD50. For example, I see the Kidsuite available 2 nights 5/1 to 5/3 at the Ent rate online, but if you add 5/4, then the Kidsuite doesn't show up at all because it's not available that last night. You can check night by night online to see when it's available. I also see 5/7 - 5/10 available online.

We don't HAVE to have a kid suite, I was just trying to make it fun for the kids. We have 5 in our party, 2 adults, 1 grandma, 2 kids (9, 3)

THANK YOU FOR THAT!!! I knew there had to be a way I could check myself but all I was getting was the globetrotter special. I'll use the code and see how that goes!

Ok, I can't pass up the price on the standard room...for a whole week it's only 407.00 and that's with taxes...holy cow!!! I think I'll buck up and do the walk or take ART for that price...sheesh!!

NOW, how do I go about getting the building 4? Should I call and make the reservation and put in a building request or just reserve online and call a few days before?

Any help would be appreciated!

Heavens ~ no need for ART, the walk is easy, make sure you cross Harbor at HoJo don't walk down the hotel side of the road and cross with everybody else. I like to call in house reservations to book our room.

Thanks for your tips, I'll call and make the reservation.

I would call now and make your request. They will note it, but not guarantee it, of course. I am assuming you are getting a room with 2 double beds, since you are asking about building 4? In our experience, when we have stayed in the Pavillion rooms (buildings 3, 4, 5, 6), they have had a roll away in the closet, which may come in handy if you have 5 in one room. We were not charged for the roll away when we used it (2 different occasions). This may not be the norm, but that's how it was with us.

Thanks so much for the info. That roll away would come in handy for part of our stay, dh is only coming for the weekend...thanks so much!!

I LOVED that place - and the walk is easy.

I didn't know about crossing Harbor up by HoJo - I never thought about avoiding the crowd at the big crosswalk. Thanks for the tip!
