Hoiday Inn Express Maingate East

Has anyone ever stayed here? What information can you give me about this hotel? How close is Disney and Universal? Is there a shuttle? Is it clean? Really....just clue me in.

We've stayed here twice, we always drive, so while I know they do have a shuttle, I can't tell you how it runs. They are on 192, about 5 minutes from the turn off to World Drive, so maybe 15 minutes to Epcot/MK, less for AK and HS. They have a fair breakfast (not free) and food court area with pizza hut and A&W in the evenings. The pool is heated, just a rectangle, nothing fancy. We found them to have very clean rooms both times we stayed (both in a family suite), and comfortable beds. McDonalds is right next door, and Old Town Kissimmee/Fun Spot is right across the street.

My husband and I stayed there for a week about about 4 years ago. It was clean and pretty good for the price (we won this hotel through a Priceline bid). The beds were comfortable, however, I am a very light sleeper and we had a room facing the highway. As such, the traffic kept me up quite a bit at night. If you have a room that is not facing the road, or are heavy sleepers, this may not be an issue for you but it would personally prevent me from staying there again. One benefit though is that the area does have lots of dining options, souvenir shops, etc easily within walking distance.
