Kate walked up to the Sorting Hat. She was one of the last ones. As she sat with the Hat on, she heard a little voice in her ear that said Ah, you're a bit difficult. Your parents were so easy to place. But you? You are a little different from them. You're not a definite for anyHouse really. But I'm going to place you in-


"GRYFFINDOR!"

OOC: We can officially move on from the Sorting Hat. Anyone who hasn't been sorted still can (because anyone can join at any time) but we're onto the feast/bed. Anyone wanted to swap houses now may do so before the feast is over.

The Sorting Hat was finally finished, and George wondered what was next. Surprisingly, the once empty table had become covered with all types of food. He was starving, so dug straight in.

Perpetua didn't hesitate a second. She dug right into the feast sitting infront of her. It was some of the best food she had ever eaten.

Avery sat down and ate lots of food. He had a great time eating and talking to all of the others in the Slytherin house.

Lily meekly sat down at the Hufflepuff table, growing nervous. She didn't see anyone around who looked like a first year; they were all older. Too nervous to introduce herself to anyone, she ate; it was some of the best food she'd ever eaten.

Gabrielle looked around her table, and couldn't help feeling lost. Not a familiar face was in sight. The food in front of her did nothing to calm her nerves. She could feel her wrist burning and she knew he was angry. She knew he was going to come for her, very soon.

George was finishing off his meal, when more food arrived. He was stuffed, and decided to wait for dessert. He was awfully tired. It felt like days since he left his family at Kings Cross station.

Daffodil was stuffed! That food was delicious but she couldn't eat another bite! She looked around. She saw some of the people that she talked to on the train. She was so shy, but really wanted to make new friends. She looked over at Gabrielle and Lily, who were both sitting near her and she'd seen and talked briefly to on the train. " Hi! I'm Daffodil, if you don't remember me from the train. How are you?" She said trying to sound excited, even though she was nervous.

Daffodil was glad that Lily remembered her. She was very self concious about these things. " Yeah, I'm Daffodil! Yes, its great here! The feast was great but I'm so full, I can't eat another bite!"

Olive quickly started eating as soon as the food appeared in front of her. Not eating much on the train had left her nearly starving. Looking around at her fellow first-year Gryffindors she didn't recognize anyone. One girl looked familiar though; she thought she might have seen her on the train in another compartment. Olive turned to her, remembering her name being mentioned as Kate, "Hi Kate. I'm Olive. I think we met on the train."

George waited for dessert to arrive. If the main course was that good, imagine what the dessert would be like! He didn't talk to anyone, too shy to say the first thing.
