OOC: here's Evan Smith!

For Evan Robert Smith, life was simple. His father, Thomas “Tommy” Smith, was a muggleborn wizard who happened to be a rock star. His mother, Ophelia Kirkpatrick Smith, was a pureblood witch that researched potions and attempted to create new ones. His parents could not be more different, but somehow they stayed together and had Evan, and when Evan was two, Christine Esmeralda Smith. Evan and Christine were pretty different too. Evan was funny, curious, outgoing, friendly, mischievous and a charmer, he loved attention. Christine was shy, quiet, smart, a quick learner and kind. However, Evan and Christine’s differences were what bonded them together. Evan defended and protected Christine to the best of his abilities, and made sure she stayed out of the limelight of being Tommy Smith’s kids. Christine kept Evan out of trouble for his mischief and helped him come up with creative pranks and smarter and easier ways to go about them. Evan was pranking from a young age, he loved to make people laugh and smile, and Christine admired him for it. In time, Evan taught Christine to be just as charming as him, which helped her shyness immensely. When Evan went off to Hogwarts, it was the first time the siblings had really been separated. Evan was sorted into Gryffindor. At first he was worried people would think he was stuck up, but after the first prank he pulled, he gained many friends. One of his best friends had to be Melanie Black, who he had instantly become friends with the minute he sat down at the Gryffindor table in the empty seat next to her, even before that first prank. Two years later, Christine came to Hogwarts and was sorted into Gryffindor, and everyone was surprised when it became clear that, beside the looks, charms and intelligence, they were nothing alike. He did all he could for Melanie, but even the son of a famous, successful rock star couldn’t take her away from everything. When he was young, Evan always knew what he wanted to do – become a rock star or run a joke shop. However, none of it would ever come to be. Evan's life became no longer simple. Both Evan and Christine joined the DA, and thus became more involved with the war. At the same time, in Evan’s fifth year and Christine’s third year, their parents’ marriage finally began to crumble. The next years were incredibly hard on Evan, who was trying to support himself and his sister, figure out what to do about the war, and pass all of his exams, all while the family had been thrown into the media’s limelight as their parents fought, did stupid stuff, and tried to get a divorce. They finally did, in the start of the summer after Evan’s sixth year and Christine’s fourth year, in a large and expensive affair that tore their family apart. Later that summer, Evan’s father Tommy Smith was hospitalized for being muggleborn. Evan and Christine went back to school, but continued to rebel with some of the other students, eventually joining the group in the Room of Requirement. In the Battle of Hogwarts, Evan tried to send Christine away with the other underage students, but she snuck back when he was preoccupied. During the battle, Evan was in a more secluded part of the castle throwing up protections when he was attacked by death eaters. Christine had pretty much just saved his life when she stumbled, Evan caught her, and a death eater hit Christine with the Killing Curse while they were distracted. Christine died in Evan’s arms, and without thinking Evan killed the death eater that had killed Christine. It was the first time that Evan had killed someone. The battle had ended when he finally made it back to the Great Hall with Christine’s body draped in his arms. He couldn’t bring himself to tell them what had happened, so he just kept repeating “I found her” over and over again. After the battle, and Christine and all of the other dead had been honored and either buried or cremated, Evan left. He simply disappeared from the country, wandering around Europe and North America for just over a year, drifting from city to city in a grief-filled haze, convinced he could have stopped her death or prevented her from sneaking back to the battle. His return to England was purely accidental, but he ended up taking a job at Weasley’s Wizard Wheezes. It was two months later before anyone besides his fellow employees even realized he was back, when Melanie wandered into the store during Evan’s shift. Once people learned he was around again, many of his friends came around and helped get him back on his feet. It was when he was finally getting back to normal that Evan decided to teach. Hogwarts had been his home, and in his mind someone had to be around to protect the students, to keep them from ending up like Cedric Diggory or like Christine. He then did what he needed to and was hired to be a History of Magic professor and has been teaching at Hogwarts ever since. He has never said anything about his year abroad or about his sister’s death to anyone, preferring to hide it all inside him behind his cheerful joker exterior.

Jean Pierre:"Vee need to move her! Move her away from here! Right now."

Jolie, although she is unconscious and its really the hippogriff doing everything: although she was unconscious, the hippogriff refused to let her move. She laid down next to Jolie, and cooed apologetically. When Jean Pierre spoke, she cawed at him, then put her head back on Jolie's belly.

Ooc: oh, okay.

Jolie: she shot straight up, then moaned in pain. She looked to see the hippogriff laying next to her, and pet it. "Don't worry, I don't blame you. You just got scared is all." She said (in french, just put down the translation.) sweetly to the creature. "I think some of my bones are broken." She said to the teacher.

North: " Please step away," she said to the hippogriff gently. It obeyed and she helped Jolie up. " Actually, you didn't break a thing Jolie.

Adelle: Adelle watched a student heal Jolie in slight shock, she had never seen an accident so dangerous before. She was used to cuts, bruises and perhaps a person fainting but one of the nannies in the house would take care of it at home and in school she had never witnessed one herself. "Oh my gosh." What else was there to say? One of her classmates just fell off of an animal from far in the air then became unconscious it seemed but this girl seemed to be doing a fantastic job at helping. "That girl is doing a well done job at healing."

Jolie: "are you sure?" She asked. Then, one of her legs gave out under her and she fell to the ground.

North: She caught Jolie. " Sit down for a while, and you'll be fine. Accio chair!" A chair flew from the castle. She propped Jolie in it.

Adelle: Adelle nodded her head looking at the girl she now knew as Veronica. "She seems like a fantastic healer, a good job match at least," She said.

Veronica: "I've got it!" Veronica rolled up her sleeves, forgetting her burned and scratched arms, and cast spells on Jolie, a couple protection, one pain, and one that would fix broken bones or torn muscles. Her only thoughts were fixing Jolie, even if she was 'one of them snakes'.

Jolie: in her normal quiet voice, she said "thank you so much, Veronica." She tried to stand again, but couldn't.

Veronica: "You're welcome. I've done what I can, I'm afraid it's not much, but I tried to the best of my abilities," Veronica replied modestly. She might have been able to do more if she had potions or pills or something, but she didn't carry healing supplies with her.

Jolie: after the bone fixing spell, she was still in pain, but decided to ignore it as she limped to her next class. Everyone would be talking about her. Laughing at her. What a nightmare. She thought.

Gab: she pet the hippogriff before leaving for her next class.

Veronica: "I've got it!" Veronica rolled up her sleeves, forgetting her burned and scratched arms, and cast spells on Jolie, a couple protection, one pain, and one that would fix broken bones or torn muscles. Her only thoughts were fixing Jolie, even if she was 'one of them snakes'.

North: " Class is over. The rest of you can try tomorrow. Go to your next class now ."

Adelle: Adelle looked at Veronica closely and noticed her cuts and burns making her stomach churn slightly at the sight. Hearing class was over she was torn, she wanted to not be late but she wanted to make sure both Jolie and Veronica were alright since when fell from the sky and the other seemed to be hurt earlier.
