Georgie: her jaw dropped. "You have the coolest dad ever." She whispered to Evan.
Evan: "I know."
Georgie: her jaw dropped. "You have the coolest dad ever." She whispered to Evan.
Georgie: "Yes you do, Mel. I know it's confusing. But you'll figure it out. You know how weird it was for me and Ev at first. It gets better. And we are very close now." her cheeks turned slightly pink. "And as for your kids, Jackson seems to be doing fine, and he can help you with Nagini. He knows her problems as much as you do, dear. He wants to help you."
Melanie:She shook her head. "I don't want it to upset them." Another attempt, although it was true. She saw the limo, but didn't have much of a reaction. Her relatives had had expensive items in their smaller manner-not that she had been allowed to touch them, of course.
Georgie: "Press, sir? Like paparazzi? They follow you when you go to lunch. Wow."
Melanie:She shook her head. "I don't want it to upset them." Another attempt, although it was true. She saw the limo, but didn't have much of a reaction. Her relatives had had expensive items in their smaller manner-not that she had been allowed to touch them, of course.
Tommy Smith: "They have since I was 20 and haven't stopped since. We might attract less attention not in a limo, but all my other cars are sports cars that only fit one or two people.
Driver: He opened the door.
Tommy Smith: He gestured for them to get in and slid in.
Evan: He slid in after his dad.
Darius: He sent Mel and Georgie in and got in last.
Georgie: she was sitting next to Evan, her eyes wide. "Wow. I've never been in a limo before. This is amazing."
Tommy Smith: "This is a decent one."
Georgie: she smiled and shook her head. "Excuses, Melanie. She was the one that wanted you to go on the date, and Jackson has a girlfriend. They'll understand."
Georgie: "Are you kidding? What's in an above-decent one?" She sighed. "I apologize in advance, I don't do good in high class, I tend to make a fool out of myself." She leaned into Evan so he would have to put his arm around her.
Melanie: She gave up, knowing that any more excuses she had used with Corbin wouldn't work on her, either. "I can't do it, Georgie. I couldn't handle it." She climbed in the limo after Georgie and Evan and listened to the conversation.
Georgie: "Oh, kiddo, it's okay." She put an arm around her. "I know it's hard." She looked at Evan and his father. "Drink coolers. Goodness gracious. I don't know how you live like this. It's so amazing."
Tommy Smith: "You usually have to earn it. Or, like Evan, be born into it."
Evan: "It's weird how natural it feels after all these years."
Georgie: she nodded. She was still in shock that she was in a limo. She put her head on Evan's shoulder. "Where exactly are we going for lunch, sir?"
Tommy Smith: He grinned. "No idea. Our driver, Carl, has been working with us for ages and is a very good friend of mine, so I just told him to go to one of Evan's favorite places."
Georgie: she turned to Evan. "Should I be scared?"
Evan: "Nope. My favorite places were the best. Now, if we were going to Christine's favorite places, then you would be scared."
