Melanie: "Stop." She was near tears; was there not a way to settle things? It seemed very simple to Melanie. She couldn't bear to hurt them like this.

Melanie: She rushed over to Georgie and physically pulled her away from the wall, forcing her to sit down again. The tears began quietly rushing down her face. "You can't do it for me, Georgie. I'm not allowing it. I can't. You don't know-" she couldn't speak.

Georgie: she smiled at her. "Please don't cry, Mel. I was just proving a point." Some blood ran down her face into her eye. She laughed. "I'm fine. It really didn't hurt."

She sighed. Was she really going to do this? She would. For Melanie. She walked over to Evan. "Ev, you know that I love you more than anything in the world. I love you more than you would know. But for Melanie. I don't know if we should be together anymore. I treasure our friendship more than anything and I don't want to hurt either of you, okay?" She kissed his cheek. "I just don't know what to do. I can't hurt Melanie. I can't hurt you." Her eyes were tearing up.

Georgie: she started to cry and hugged him. "I love you so much, Evan. I don't want to do this, I really don't. It's just for Melanie. This is honestly breaking my heart." She calmed down. "I don't care. As long as you two are happy, I'm happy. We are friends. Best friends." She smiled and started to walk away, back to Melanie. She slapped a smile on her face and sat back on the couch. "We're just friends now." She said quietly. She was dying inside.
