Jane: She whirled through the battle. None of her friends appeared too injured. Then she came upon Toodle, who was laying on the ground. She out up a protection around them, and knelt by her side.

OOC: no, she just went completely insane. I was considering killing her, but I didn't want to. She might come back at some point.

Jackson: Suddenly, the evil people were dead or left. "We won. We did it. Joey you did it." He collapsed.

Gabrielle: she ran to Jackson's side, and nudged him. She whimpered quietly.

Georgette: she kept twitching and laughing. Her head was completely empty. Her mouth was foaming, and her eyes were dilated and glazed over.

Jane: She had a chill down her spine, and turned. A spell was going straight towards her. She managed to duck, and it hit the wall, which collapsed.

Fiona: She was fighting with Viola. They made a good team. They were knocking out death eaters everywhere.

Melanie: She took down many death eaters but didn't kill them. Eventually she was separated from Evan and Georgie, and didn't know whether they were alive or not.

Melanie: She froze in her tracks. "She had another episode?"

Veronica: Veronica was still fighting when she heard a death eater nearby shout, "Carnificinam!" As Veronica turned around, the blue light of the curse hit her straight in the chest. It was the Living Death curse. Veronica fell to the ground, eyes closed. She was alive, but she would never open her eyes again, Carnificinam or the Living Death curse, the newest Unforgivable Curse, trapped the victim in a dreamless coma. Veronica laid on the ground, limbs splayed out, her head turned slightly to the side, her wand still gripped firmly in her right hand.

Alexei: Alexei turned around at the sound of the curse, and saw Veronica struck by it. He stopped all at once, even his speeding heart seemed to pause. Nica, his Nica, had just been hit by the Living Death curse. Suddenly he seemed to unfreeze, and Alexei ran to Veronica, abandoning the battle and the entire world. The only thing that mattered was his Nica. He reached her and tried in vain to awaken her, to revive her. "Nica! Nica, wake up! Come on Nica! Nica, you have to wake up! No, no please Nica! Veronica Millicent Spencer, don't do this to me, you can't leave me!" Alexei had Veronica's head on his lap as he cried out his grief. His Nica meant more to him than anything in this whole world.

Lucas: Luke was dodging a spell when he caught sight of the scene. X was cradling Nic's head and was shouting and crying out, and Nic was unresponsive. Could his friend be dead? Then Luke noticed her eyes were closed, and Luke remembered the Carnificinam someone had shouted earlier. Suddenly all the pieces fell into place, and Luke ran across the battlefield to his fallen friend. Nic was trapped somewhere now, unable to wake up.

Ivy Dorielle: Ivy Dorielle was fighting when all of a sudden she got the feeling that something was wrong. She turned and saw Veronica, struck by the Living Death curse, on the ground cradled by Alexei, who was lost in grief. Luke was running to them, pain etched in his face. How could Veronica, brave, strong, smart, be taken down so easily? Tears streaming down her face, Ivy Dorielle forced herself to fight, to fight for the dead and the lost.

Anya: Anya was in the midst of battle when a familiar anguished voice was heard over the din of battle. A cold hand closed over her heart; why was Alexei sounding so distressed? Then a gap in the fighting showed the scene. Tears fell freely from her eyes in pity for her brother and his lover. No one deserved what they got, especially not Alexei and Veronica. They were supposed to finish school and get married, and she was supposed to be the Maid of Honor, Veronica wasn't supposed to get hurt by the Living Death Curse! She ran, bumped into David, and tearfully told him what happened.

David: David had been dueling and fighting when he'd gotten a moment's rest and Anya came sprinting towards him and into him. He helped her up and listened in horror as she described what she saw. Moments later, he saw it too, and his whole body seemed to ache as he saw Roni limp and unresponsive, as if she was dead. He never cried, but he did now, and he didn't suppose he was too tough to cry for Alex and Ron, who were as star-crossed as Romeo and Juliet.

OOC: Carnificinam literally translates from Latin to mean Living Death. Also, the curse has no cure.

Jane: She shook her head slowly. " She's totally gone, I think," she said, on the verge of tears. She blasted three death eaters that had been coming towards them into a wall. She lookede around, and saw Veronica lying on the ground. She didn't seem dead though... Suddenly, she was hit by a curse, and collapsed like a rag doll.

Melanie: Her eyes filled with tears, and she struggled to hold herself together. "She-" She ran off, looking for any sight of her.
