"Mel, I was wondering well I was curious well if you like wanted to like possibly have a picnic lunch. I know a spot on the lake. I was just thinking about it and I thought you might like it. If not I totally understand cause I could go by myself or not at all. Or I could go another day or something."

Alaine: She headed to lunch when class was over. She ate some food, then poured a bit of water into her flask and gave it to Jane. She got ready to follow Gab and Ivan into the woods.

Professor Black: "Definitely," she said. She sat back in her chair. This was wrong, this wasn't good. She'd probably embarrassed him to death. If Evan had asked, she probably would have said yes. But they would have joked through the time they had together, not becoming romantic or such. He was a brother and nothing less.
