Georgie: "My mom used to tell me this whenever she could power through her insanity: don't cry because it's gone, but smile because it happened. So I suppose that's what we have to do. But that doesn't mean I'm going to be talking to either of them for a while."

OOC: Because I once again have a snow day and I am bored, I have had time this lovely morning to reminice and reread past threads, namely thread 5 due to it being the heightened drama point for my charries.
And because I am bored and I felt like rereading stuff I did with my charries previously, I realize now how my decision to create Chris sparked something. If I had not made Chris, Ivan, Lori, Phyllis, and Sheila would simply not exist. And then I would not have been able to expand on my characters and develop them, which I guess is why Chris is my most developed character. Tori would probably have eventually dated someone else, while Bass may have gone in the more complex route. Which begs the question what if Chris hadn't existed, in the long run means there would have been no Phyllis 2.

Alec: "Okay, I suppose you'll find out from Linus if not from me, though I'd rather it be from someone you've been raised by."

Eris: Eris put her hand gently on her uncle's arm. She said, "Please, I think I'm old enough to know what you're hiding."

Alec: He sighed. "When you were born, your father didn't want to be saddled with the responsibility of having a family. He left about a week after you were born, though he might have left earlier than that. I went to help your mom Florentina, but she didn't accept my help. I took you in after she died to prevent you from meeting your father. Then I had to arrange for you privately to be sent to Hufflepuff. You would still be near your father, closer than ever, but not close enough so that he could tell you. Your father was a death eater like myself."

Eris: Eris blinked back some of the tears from her eyes. She said, "Uncle, I still want to know where my family comes from."

Alec: "Death eaters," he mumbled.

Eris: Eris gulped. "You're sure?"
