OOC: X-Men are mutants (people with special abilities)

OOC: Noelle, I highly approve of your location. How did you discover the awesomeness of the X-Men?

OOC: Last night my dad and I watched the movie. Rouge is awesome!

OOC: what exactly is the X-Men?

OOC: The X-Men are a group of people born with the x-gene, meaning they're born with super powers, and they're called mutants, the mutant x-gene usually doesn't show until either puberty or if they are in a high-stress or dangerous situation, unless the power is physical, such as having a tail or blue skin or wings. Most regular humans hate and fear mutants, because they were born different.

This mutant named Charles Xavier, who can read minds and has some other mental powers, forms this school in the ginormous - and I mean ginormous - mansion that he lives in in Westchester, New York (the name varies - I've heard it as the Xavier Institute of Higher Learning and as the Xavier School for Gifted Youngsters) and brings mutants to live their and learn how to control their powers. The lucky ones become X-Men, a team of super heroes that fights crime, protects the mansion and its students, and sometimes goes out and gets mutants that are in danger, in a situation, or could just use some help and brings them to the school.

OOC: Last night my dad and I watched the movie. Rouge is awesome!

OOC: Rogue was played very well. The first one was the best, the second was pretty good, and the third one, I only saw it once but was okay, not that good, just like the first Spiderman trilogy.

You need to watch X-Men First Class, it'd the best X-Men movie to date and sheds a lot of light on the history of Xavier and Magneto, and it'll help set you up for the new movie X-Men Days of Future Past which comes out next year.

OOC: The RP I had a while back called The Collins Institute is very heavily based off the X-Men, but the only characters that were similar would be Professor Collins and Xavier, because they had the same powers and the same personality/attitude.

OOC: I had really wanted to do the X-Men, but nobody knew it. I'd like to run one one day, as well as certain years of HP, because of reasons and I love running Harry Potter ones.

Alec: "Oh no, my fault. I mean, my bad. I should have stuck to the shadows where I belong. Um, Alec Ryland. I'm the Caretaker here for this school."

OOC: I had really wanted to do the X-Men, but nobody knew it. I'd like to run one one day, as well as certain years of HP, because of reasons and I love running Harry Potter ones.

Minerva: She walked with Holly and took a transfiguration book out. "This looks interesting. "

OOC: Did you have actual characters from HP on
previous threads?

OOC: Oh yes. There was one person who was very good at playing the trio (Harry, Ron and Hermione), probably the best. The guy who played Snape was pretty good, and so was the original Umbridge.

It was all first come first serve, and no one complained, as most people didn't play the actual characters anyway.

Nikolai: "I'm Nikolai Zhukov, the new Potions professor, I actually was a seventh year here like 3 years ago or so."

Alec: Zhukov. That sounded Russian. He hoped no one had recognized him, after all, he looked the same as he did. Alec said, "Very good, my niece thinks Potions is the best subject in the world, as she'll be thrilled the class has a new teacher. Good."

OOC: Yeah, I'd be too scared to play them, as I'm a perfectionist and would not be able to get them perfect. But that's awesome that you found. people who can.
