Hogwarts castle tour line

so I was just listening to a podcast and I heard apparently there I an alternate line for hogwarts which takes you through more of the castle?

Can anyone give me a bit more info about this like when is it available to go through? How does it work?

It is available in non-peak times. During peak times, it is used as part of the regular queue as it just runs alongside the normal queue. Just ask at the front of the castle and they will direct you.

When you start to enter the ride queue, there is staff directing you to the lockers for your belongings. Approach that person and ask for the 'castle only' queue. They will direct you.

If memory serves, you will not get to see the green house area of the ride queue, but you do get an additional castle room of portraits and a stair well for you to climb. It is rarely crowded and though it does run alongside the normal queue for most of it, you are not pressured to keep moving. You can absorb the story being set up and browse the trinkets.

The "castle tour" also misses the sorting hat at the end. But, if the single rider line isn't too long the TM may walk you up there to see the Sorting Hat. Also, if the single rider line isn't long you could probably ask the TM if you could get directly into that line.
