We are planning a large family trip to WDW in October 2008. There will be 16 adults and 4 kids (ages 5,6,6,7). My mom keeps trying to get us all to go see Arabian Nights or some other off site dinner show. She has already seen it, I don't exactly know why she wants everyone to go. DH & I don't want to leave WDW once we get there, because there are so many things to do there we haven't done yet, even though we have been there 19 times. So, we are thinking of talking with mom about possibly doing the Sunday Gospel Brunch or La Nouba instead. For whatever we do, we will probably send the kids to one of the kid's clubs for a few hours, the rest of the group range in age from 21 to 65. None of us have ever done either of those shows. I don't know that everyone will want to do any show, so there may be as few as 8 of us for the show. I know La Nouba doesn't include a meal, so I will ask about it on another thread. Can anyone tell me more about HOB? How is the meal and entertainment? What is the show like? Is it worth the price? Are there discounts available? We are DVC and AP holders. I read the menu, how does the food taste? We talked with her about doing the Spirit of Aloha, but the reviews were horrible and the price is high! And we did Hoop Dee Doo when I was a kid, don't feel the need to do it again. Thank you for any ideas, help or comments.

DH and I went to the Gospel Brunch a few years ago and LOVED IT. The food
was delicious(buffet) and the show was fantastic. We were on our feet "Praisin'
the Lord" the whole time. Those folks put on quite a show. WOW. Don't miss
it. :worship: :thumbsup2

The Gospel Brunch is great. We haven't done the one in Orlando, but we have done the one in New Orleans and in L.A. FYI, the kid's clubs are open in the evenings and the Gospel Brunch is in the morning, so they will either need to go with you or you would need in room sitting (not sure of their hours).

My DH is a HUGE Blues Bros. fan, would the Gospel Brunch be appropriate for our kids (8, 8 & 4)? They know who the BB are and love the music - is it "appropriate" for that age group though?

We did the Gospel Brunch in Cleveland and my kids were 5 & 3 and they got on stage with the singers. They loved it, the food was great and the kids could stand during the show and wave their napkins, they will enjoy it. I think kids under a certain age are free (at least in Cleveland).
