Hoarding?

It's been about 2 years since I last posted, and I just had to check out the scrapbooking site. You ladies are too funny!!!

I just wanted to add to the thread about hoarding. I guess I am in that group also. I live an hour away from any scrapbooking stores. Even Walmart is 30 minutes away. I'll see something and buy it for the "just in case".

I have a bedroom in my basement that I've converted into my "mom's cave" with a sign made by my daughter that hangs outside the door that says "mom's". Inside my cave--I have 6 6' shelves, 2 paper stackers that are 4' , a stackable modular unit from Michael's that is 3 units tall, a closet with 12' long shelves (6 of them), and a 6'tall handcrafted cabinet that holds 13 of the 13x13x2 plastic boxes that Michaels has on sale all the time. I guess that the 40+ cricut carts qualifies also.

I just went to a yard sale and got over 500 sheets of 12x12 cardstock, cause you can never have too much, plus all kinds of other stuff.

Fortunately for me, my husband scrapbooks too. Makes it alot easier to get stuff.

Yes, my Name is Lora and I too am a scrapbook hoarder. Are there any Scrappers Anonymous groups out there?!

WOW! that's mpressive! Will you post pics of your room? It sounds well organized!
Ok, count me in on the hoarding! Maybe one day, i will actually get around to using some of my stuff!

Hi. This is Darlene and I am the hoarder from the other thread.Coupon in hand, I hit Michaels today for a Martha Stewart Border Punch.Well I am getting tired of Michaels and need another place but with better prices, I love Walmart but here in Ontario,our Walmarts are not well equipt.

I wish that I could post pics, but according to the disboards, I can't. I would love to have my room in one of the scrapbook magazines. Perhaps some day. I always think that I have way too many "toys" until I go to a crop and see the cases after cases that they roll in. also, going to any convention--WOW-- I always find even more stuff that I "need". I learned a long time ago when I was an avid precious moments collector, that if you don't get something when you see it, either it will no longer be available, or you'll never find it, so go ahead and get while you can. AND if you can get it at a sale price, that's even better.

Sure, you can post a pic. You just upload the pic to photobucket (or similar site) and then just copy the IMG code url and paste it. Someone else could probably explain it better. You just can't directly put a pic on here.

I think that's becoming standard with Walmart -- they seem to be moving away from crafts. I'm just hoping they soon start clearancing their overpriced Lite cartridiges! Our SuperWalMarts no longer have a fabric dept. -- they are moving more toward groceries. You may need to do more of your shopping online for better prices.
