This is not quite a zombie thread but quite a lot of good Florida HOA information.

The Orlando area might be a move-to location in the not too distant future, depending on things, and while I am used to high HOA fees (california bay area) the more concerning thing about Florida for me is homeowners insurance. It isnt cheap here either especially with all the big wildfires the last few years and companies are starting to leave due to the risk. But all the stories and such about how bad the florida insurance market is with no relief in sight gives me pause long term.
