So...I was trying to get a dining ressie for 2 and it said none available. It says to change date/time/party size. So I put in a party of 1!!! It has several times available. Do they really have a table just for 1 but not 2?

Oh my gosh!!!
(BTW it’s for lunch at BOG 50 days out)
So I booked a table for 1.
Went into My Disney App and “Modified” it to 2 people. It moved my time from 11:50 to 1:50 but it gave me a table for 2!! I’d like to move it earlier but it isn’t a deal breaker. I’m sure as the date gets closer if I keep trying, I can bump it up a little. HaPpY DaNcE!

That happened to me last year. i tried changing from 5 to 6 and all the sudden they were booked...i left ADR as is and showed up with the extra person....they were more then happy to seat us with the extra person! hope this helps!

You can actually show up at anytime for lunch if you have an ADR at BOG. For example, if you have a 1:10, you can arrive at 11:00. The BOG reservation system recognizes that you have a lunch or breakfast reservation, but not the time. I frequently have to make several 1 person reservations instead of a group of 4 in order to get into BOG. Makes no sense, but that is WDW. Check out @Easywdw Review: New Be Our Guest Restaurant Lunch for more details.

I don't think I've ever heard this before. Can anyone else here confirm?

Wow. This is so interesting. I have two ADRs for 4 and for 2 for our Thanksgiving trip, but it's for 1:55 and the parade is at 2:00. I hope if this is true, we can show up a little before 1:00 and be out in time for the parade. Of course, I will keep trying for a sooner ADR just in case.

Just ran into this with Ogas. Couldn’t find a party of two dropped to a party of 1 and they started magically showing up! Know it’s not entirely the same but it feels odd especially since it’s usually been the reverse in my case (can’t find one seaters but two seaters are a plenty)

I think it's because BOG for lunch isn't really by available tables, because they never fill them all up at any given moment. It's probably more about number served (meals prepared) so that's why you could find a "table for one" but not two.

Oga's is different though, because they aren't filling tables, just "spaces." Oga's has a capacity of 168 guests at any given time, the majority of whom will be standing. The ADR system for that location is strictly number based, not table size dependent.

Maybe it's changed, but when I went to BOG for lunch a couple of years ago, they were pretty strict about the reservations - I was there for an 11:00 ADR and the couple in front of me had a 12:30 tried to check in and they told them to come back at 12:30. 🤷‍♀️

We did not have the "anytime in the breakfast or lunch window" experience with our lunch reservation at BOG back in April 2018. We were about 30min early and were asked to come back closer to our reservation time.

It is my understanding that they will take all PPO breakfast reservations when they first open regardless if your reservation is at 8am or 8:55am, however, I have not heard or experienced that policy extending into the remainder of the day.

That's never happened to us, and we've eaten at BOG several times for lunch. We've been told we couldn't get in early because we had to wait for our scheduled time. Each, and. every. time , so we just don't try anymore.
OP I wouldn't count on that for sure.

This worked for us in June. I made reservations for 1 person around 11:30 and another 1 person reservation after 1:00. We both arrived at 11:30 and were let in without any questions. I don't know if this would work for many reservations for multiple guests. It was just me and DD trying single reservations after reading an EasyWDW blog. YMMV.

That can’t happen I’d they are at capacity. Ask if you can, but don’t expect it. Iran not a strategy to rely on.

I’m glad it worked for you.

People’s mileage WILL vary.

I don’t know what sort of luck you (and Josh) have, but most don’t have that luck.

I wouldn't risk trying it the other way around, though, and showing up for the later ADR (or any time after the first ADR, really), you could end up with a $10 no show fee.
