I've noticed that I only see my friends 99% of the time in school and when I get home I'm either online, watching tv, listening to music, etc. I don't have a problem with people, I just like being alone more. Am I messed up, or just more a self-sufficient person?

You are not alone. I work instead of school, but am much the same... other than having to deal with a wife and kids. :surfweb:

Are you an only child? I am and I find that I actually want alone time frequently. I have always been like this. I have always had friends and enjoy going out w/ them (especially when I was younger).

DH is somewhat that way as well. He had 2 brothers, but there was a big age difference between him and the younger one and the older one left home right after he graduated hs. He then lived by himself for quite a few years.

I don't think you are messed up at all. I think that being able to be comfortable by yourself is a gift. Some people can't handle it.

I'm just not a person who cares to go out with friends. I have a sister, but she doesn't live here, so in the house I'm an only child.

I am the same way. DH and I are both homebodies. We enjoy hanging out at home together on the weekends! Even in HS I was not a social butterfy and certainly wasn't in college. There is nothing wrong with it but remember that it is important to build up relationships and friendships.

I'm a huge homebody as well. I would rather hang out at home with my cats, boyfriend and sit on the couch and knit. I do go out mainly with him and enjoy it but I would rather be at home.
