Hmm, no AAA at ASMO?

Next May, we'll be spending 5 nts. at VWL (renting points) and then 2 nts. at ASMO. I called back today to check on AAA rates for the ASMO stay and they said the AAA is not available at ASMO during my dates (May 13 - 20). She said they had it at POP, ASSp and ASMu. I asked if that meant ASMO was going to be especially crowded and she said it might. I then asked if any large groups were booked to be there during that time and she said they don't have that information since they just deal with individual consumers.

Any thoughts?

Thanks!

Since they just released the discount today, then how can they be sold out of AAA rates already? That doesn't sound right. Did you try calling back?

Same thing happened to me. This is the first time I am booking w/AAA TA because we want the dining and I am an AP holder. My travel agent couldn't get the rate I wanted so she kept trying and the computer opened up. It first said there were no AAA rates available, but my in-laws are also going and had their heart set on POFQ so after two more tries she was able to get AAA rate. You can give her a call if you want and see if she can get the rate for you. Also, remember the computers were really being overwhelmed with the 2007 rates just coming out so they may not be 100% accurate.

We are going in Jan 2007 for P&P party. Last year was All-Star Sports, this year POR and wanted ASMo for January trip. AAA TA called and said the only AAA discount was for a preferred room $89 per night. I was able to get POP for $73 a night. I went that route, hope I'm happy with my choice.

My AAA agent emailed me yesterday and said that although we have a room booked at the hotel we wanted, she was unable to get us the AAA rate for that category. They offered concierge at a AAA rate, but this vaca will be extravagant enough, and I really don't feel the need for those services. I'm wondering if Disney tries to push the more expensive rooms till closer to the date. I'm very disappointed. She said she will keep trying. That's all I can ask, but Disney will get less $$$ from me since we will cut down spending on other aspects of our stay.

Just from my past experience, I think of the All Stars (and maybe all the values) ASMo is the most popular. Due to this I just don't think they offer as many discounts. And ASMo does book up the fastest.
