Hmm. May have bought a lemon

So, with a little research and having inspected the watch over the 'net from every angle, I bought this Lige "Moon Phase" watch (as well as several others, starting my collection). Looks sweet, IMO, and it sounded good. Decent price too. But now I'm reading on Professor. Google that one in ten is a lemon. It comes with a decent warranty, so I can always send it back, but I don't want to be in a position to have to return anything! Here's hoping that mine is ok!

I may be safe. Professor Google reports a strike-out rate of 3-7%. Some more expensive watches luck out at 5-10%, so I'm quietly confident!

ngl, I kinda dig the Chinese flashy stuff, lige and poedagar in particular. The lige logo looking a little too much like Breitling’s, but I can buy a watch in white and yellow gold plus another in steel to make the look whatever I’m wearing.

Be prepared. The movements are fair and the case and finishing on them can be quite good, but stock wrist straps and bracelets are deplorable. Obviously, don’t expect them to keep time beyond an evening out. For that, score an eco-drive or a vintage seiko.

I'm eyeing up this one… the brand is good, the price is OK (a bit beyond my budget now that I've bought the other watches) but c'mon… PEANUTS!

Maybe in a few months when I've saved up enough...
