what are the odds that they redid the lines, so people in WCs can go into the stetching room? i've heard it was completely redone, and it amazing. before if you were in a WC you had to bypass the stetching room, b/c the lines on the other side were too tight and dark for a chair to get through. do you think they redid this, so you can go through? i'm hoping they did!

i would think they could make a way to go into the stretching room through the regular line, see the stretching room, then bypass the indoor line to go to the cars...basically the biggest problem i saw with WC access was the line after the stretching room, before the cars... and there must be a way to move a chair from one side to the other...

i was just thinking it would be nice to work on this, while they were doing everything else

Yeah, it would be nice if they could do redo it so that wheelchairs could go into the stretching room. I haven't been able to see the stretching room since I was a kid because DD10 is in a wheelchair. And as she loves the HM, I guess I will just have to keep on missing it!! Oh Well.

there is a way to exit after the stetching room, for all the people who get scared by the first part. there is always a "chicken exit" before getting on the main ride. i wonder if you could go in the stretching room, exit after it, then go through the exit to get on the ride itself. i know this sounds involved, but it would be a way for everyone to see the stetching room... i know i will be in a chair next time, and i dont want to miss it!

You can see the stretching room if you use a wheelchair but it helps to go during a slow time and to be very polite. I've politly asked the CM escorting me back to the exit if they have time to let me see the stretching room. There is a backstage door on the left as you walk to the exit that they can take you into and then into one of the stretching rooms. Then you exit through another door and go back to the exit. I don't ask often for this but when the park is slow and I've got a CM who seems nice I ask and almost always get to go see the stretching room. I've always figured that it doesn't hurt to ask and I'm willing to accept "no" as thier answer.

I have also seen the stretching room in my wheelchair. I was even allowed to stay while it was shrunk back for the next batch of guests.

We have not asked to see the stretching room when we go with DD in her wheelchair (may ask on our next trip since we heard the re-do is good), but I have heard a number of other people have done what Bill and Andrew did.

Besides the dark and narrow line for boarding, another big obstacle to wheelchair and ECV users is that you board on one side of the track and exit on the other side. That would mean that they would not only have to get the wheelchair/ECV from the boarding to the exit, but they would also have to get it across the track.
So, I don't think the renovation is going to allow wheelchair/ECV users to board from the same place as everyone else. From what I have read about ride renovations, they would not be required to do anything to make it more accessible (although they can, if they want to). As long as they don't change the boarding area during the renovation, it is considered a 'cosmetic' change and they would not be required to change the boarding area.

I've been in the stretching room too. Just ask the CM when you're waiting at the wheelchair queue outside the exit. You may have to wait awhile but they're very good about it all. And that chicken exit is neat to see. A little corridor with rows of keys and spooky flickering lights. It's amazing to see just how many areas are theme throughout, regardless if guests are traipsing through them en masse.
