HM Clue game question

Hi all-

Just received a Haunted Mansion edition Clue game in the mail I won on Ebay, still sealed. Upon opening it, I discovered that the playing board is split from the left edge to the middle, on its crease. However, it lays flat when opened up. Since this is the portion of the board that is on the outside when it's all folded up, I can't quite tell if this is a fault or if it was designed this way.

Does anyone else have this edition of the Clue game, and if so, is your board split?

Sounds like it's split the same way as mine. It's split on one side up to the center of the board. This allows the board to fold flat inside the box.

HM Clue... I bet that is one cool game. I loved to play clue.
