Just making sure I’ve got enough cash on hand…what is an appropriate tip for the porters? Looking at potentially 10-12 bags, and 7 people, all arriving together. Is it safe to assume that embarking and disembarking tips would be the same?
Thank you!

We usually tip around $5 per bag. Although we usually never have more than 4 bags. And yes… same amount both ends

We had 4 people, 4 bags, gave $20. We walk off with our luggage so no need for a disembark tip.

The one time we did have them take our luggage many years ago, I don't remember there being anyone we could have tipped though. They collect the luggage from the hallway in the evening, so we didn't see them then to tip, and then we collected it ourselves by searching in the luggage area and then put it in our vehicle; there was no one there that helped us in any way. But this was many years ago and maybe it's different now. Or maybe it's different if you're debarking and getting on Disney transportation.

If you google your question AI and other responses say $2-5 for a normal bag. We carry our own so I have no personal experience.
Also note they are not Disney employees, at least last I checked.

For 10 to 12 bags, I'd go with $40, assuming one porter handles all of them.

When we cruise we normally have, two large suit cases, two carry on suit cases a back pack a beach type bag and a small beer cooler.

So this is what we do,

The two big suit cases get dropped off for the porters, we park the car in the parking garage and the rest we carry on.
Drop off for getting on the ship, 15 dollars total for two large suit cases is what I normally tip.

This is what we do when we get off the ship in the luggage hall,

We will get a porter that has a hand truck.
They will take the two big suit cases the two carry on suit cases the the small beer cooler and the beach bag.
Because they have to wait with us in line for Customs and then follow us to our car in the parking garage
I will usually tip 40 to 50 dollars.
