History of March Codes

I will be traveling during Spring Break (March 18 - 22, 2007). I'm Taking 40 teenagers (along with many chaperones) and I was wondering what the history of room only codes in previous years. I was shocked when I was offered rack rates ($119) for booking more than 10 rooms.

WOW---40 teenagers....I teach school, so the thought of taking 40 teenagers somewhere is enough for me to begin having a nervous breakdown. But seriously, you can find the historical discounts on www.mousesavers.com. Last year, AP holders got room only discounts, but the general public only got the package deal where you got park hopping/water parks free of charge.

I'm headed that way the same time as you, and I'm hoping for some kind of miracle discount code.

I believe it was 2 years ago right now that the BPD or BDP or some combination of similar letters came out that dropped the Mods to the one teens or thereabouts and the Values to under a hundred. We started with a Mod but traded up to the Swan when the Teacher's Rate came out for March and it was about the same as the Mod with a code. Last Oct I booked a Mod at the AAA rate, no code was offered or what was offered didn't beat the AAA rate but we again moved on up to Swan. Prior to 2 yrs ago codes were taken as a given, no more. Disney is filling their rooms in Peak Season, which is what March is, without giving away the store, and their various packages with MYW tickets and dining are drawing crowds. For March 2007 we locked in the BoardWalk Villas with a DVC member last April because I could see the writing on the wall. Good luck!

When we checked in during Spring Break '06, the best deal I could find was $80/night @ POP using the AP discount.
