I will add SSR in 2003 and 2004 you were given the same amount of points you purchased plus the points when your use year started. However in 2003 you could sell the extra points back for 10 each (the 10 back above). In 2004 you could not. All fees were still paid at this time (not sure if this changed ever). If I recall I paid 79 for my first contract and 95 for the - I needed more points as we started taking people-
In 2003 people knew about the price increase bought Direct used the free points sold the contract and sometimes made money. It was cheaper to buy direct at the point. If I recall correct DVC started to finance at that point prior it would have been through what amounted to a credit card at like 17 or 18% when they started financing the rate was still high if I recall for the time like 7 or 8% we did not finance so my DVC % may be off. Soon after they offered a much lower rate.
There were also times in the 2000 when the offered 50 point buy in for anyone.
