This one is just killin' me because I can't take advantage of it ! We have to leave Orlando on Oct 7---the kids need to get back to school. The one way to PHL out of MCO is $160 !!!!

If we could just leave the next day it's $39 !!!!

We have reservations to fly out of Tampa on Oct 7 for $50, so not too bad. I just wish I didn't have to drive to Tampa. Longer drive and we wouldn't even have needed a car if I could have gotten a decent rate out of Orlando because we could have been able to use Disney's ME.

Do DINGS normally happen during busy times, like from New Orleans to MCO at Mardi Gras? A lot of flights are already sold out for travel that week-most were unavailable as soon as the flight schedule came out this week! I don't know what to do........

I understand your frustration! I would have LOVED to see a Sunday Ding! this time, too!

Although the pickin's were pretty slim long before today's Ding! for me. Getting cheap airfare Columbus Day week/Fall break has been a challenge!

I was out of town without internet access or phone service, darn it. We went camping, which I strongly dislike as it is, I only do it for the kids because they love it so much. The only other family members who could have watched and probably competently changed my flights for me are my MIL and SIL, and guess what? They were camping with us, LOL. I wasn't meant to have it, that must be it, LOL.

No Orlando ones this time around, but I will post the Tampa in case anyone is interested.

Thanks Pam.....I always check out Tampa fares. It's maybe a 90 min or less drive (depends on traffic) to WDW. As long as you're not dependent on Magical Express, it can be a good option to consider.
Example....we're flying home on Oct 7 out of Tampa (we fly in through MCO). We couldn't get a good airfare for 5 people back home on 10/7. I guess due to Columbus weekend ? I got an MCO DING for 10/8 for $39, but the fare on 10/7 is $111 or higher one-way. I can't keep the kids out of school another day---so we must leave on Oct 7.
Got Tampa for $40 one-way to PHL. So, we're saving $350 total for the 5 of us by driving to Tampa----the rental car is $45, so still saving $300.
