So I just got a call from pamjb who was nice enough to call me from PA to let me know the Ding was up and I cancelled the 1st flight and applied the money to the Ding flight and still have a $110.00 credit towards my next flight!!!
Gotta love those Dings and SW for being so flexible with their restrictions!!!

Any good Houston dings lately? I am planning a trip for the four of us, the last week of October (Oct 25-30)....getting tempted to buy at published internet rate (outbound for $113 per person, returning at $99 per)...do you think I should hold off for a few more days/weeks/months? Please help me. I am getting frustrated day by day!

FINALLY....

after checking almost daily since we booked a few months ago...

the rate WAS $95 back when we booked perfect Non STop flight from NWA on Sunday but NOOO I waited because I thought it would go down....

Well it hasn't been below $100 unless a really awful time and even then, never below but right at....

So I've been HOPING and PRAYING for Airtran Deal or SW Ding...so far dings have only been Tues, Thur, Sat and still not much less than $100 after taxes, etc.

Now SW internet special is $99.80 after taxes and all MCO to IND. But the time is not what I wanted and it's not NS. it's 8:55 am so not terrible BUT I was planning on spending at least the morning around the POLY...

Are my expectations too high?? I know AIRTRAN has been posting good deals on SUNDAYS when you're closer to 2 months out...just afraid this will bite me in the butt!!!

This is worse than gambling. UGH..

Go to southwest.com and read all 'bout it.

Go to the Southwest airlines website.

Scroll to the very bottom.

Click on the "Ding" icon.

Download "Ding" by following instructions (That is, if your computer hardware will allow it).

You'll get a Ding icon on your computer screen.

Everytime a ding fare/sale fare comes up, you'll hear a "ding" and an envelope will appear beside your ding icon.

Click on the icon and choose your flight.

Easy.

The hard part is waiting/hoping that there will be a sale/ding fare from your preferred airport.

oh thank you guys.............i am really not a flyer, do not like to fly. but since my dd and baby grandson were in texas for a while, i finally had to take alot of medicine to fly. now they are in alabama. son in law is in the army. well my dd and baby grandson were home in june , and to fly from boston to alabama , it cost us 799.00...........i almost died over that price............but she was not sure if they were moving or not at the time to a new state. so i thought now that i may have to fly again, i will def. check out the ding on southwest. sorry for rambling, but again i thank you allfor your help...thanks
